Hmm I must live in the wrong part of the country as I very rarely see any scoobs. The same P1 driver, couple of turbos and the odd WRX but Id be lucky if I saw one a week here.

The reason u see more imprezas on the road compared to cosworths is that imprezas are able to do high mileages without spending large amounts of time in garages getting repaired.

You know, I have exactly the same problem with TV sets. Every bugger's house I go to, they've all got big new Japanese TVs.
I'm much happier with my 21" 1980s Granada set. So what if it's all fuzzy, got more wood than a coffin and spends one week in four in the TV repairshop, it'll still give these new fangled models a run for their money.
Or something.....

Turbo Lag??? whats that?? i suppose those old machines were a bit basic but the newer cars dont seem to get this lag thing you should try one (a scoob that is) as you may find its a bit better than a fix or repair daily or you could go and buy yourself a focus st170!! probably handles better than anything ford have built (fwd) but i doubt it and whats this dog stuff on street corners?? wasnt that the cossie in the 80's when they were getting dumped after they were stolen??? (and i bet you aint had yours hpi'd have ya!! )

There's are hundereds of scoobs for sale compared to cossies, I have a look on the autotrader site from time to time (dreaming)and get less than a page of Escort cossies but get loads of scoobs. Can't really see what all the fuss is over there are loads more scoobs than cossie's. The insurance is cheaper and the list is less comparativly (spelling) cheaper than cossies were. I see a cossie about 1 every couple of months where i live but at least 2 scoobies a day!!! they are very common where i live

i'm always delighted to see you post because it's always entertaining.
and entertaining it may be but i have to say i'm laughing *at* you not *with* you. there's a huge difference between the two, one you may not have cottoned onto yet kevin old boy.

Hi Phil
I understand the point you're trying to make. It's nice to be the one driving something different than every other motor on the road. Unfortunately if a car is as good as the WRX is, inevitably people are going to pick up on it. You can blame the WRC wins for that.

I see no more Scoobs than Cossies and I live right near Lavender Hill Subaru gagage. Might see 1 or 2 a day tops. Lets face it a Subaru is known to be more reliable and more of an everyday car than a Cossie, many of which are cared for and driven sensibly by enthusiasts or driven by arseholes, unfortunately the latter having been more common in my experience.
Good in thier day and great for big power but not my cup of tea .
