A fair range of opinions - more replies than I thought it would get tbh
It's interesting to see other peoples view on the subject, and how they would have dealt with the matter if it had been them( which was the actual purpose of this thread).

At the end of the day, no employer is not going to tell someone exactly how the employee was dealt with. I am happy that the company are now aware of the drivers lack of professionalism and his 'potty mouth' (as someone called it )... it's down to them as to the course of action they take, and if they don't act on it then it just goes to show what sort of company they are

as it happens im black and i think u should defo complain about that ignorant driver there is no excuse for racism, ignorance is common unfortuntely it suprises me untill today i was out in colchester the other night and for the 1st time in my life i experienced racism, i could of reacted by been racist but what would it of tought the guy what would i achieved out of been racist. the world we live in you will get scum in every coulture,colur and religon our resposibilty should be to react but only in a positive way?theres a law thats in place we pay our taxes so report it to the police this is the 21st century no one and i mean no one should have to put up with racist comment or slangs.

theres is some seriously racist people on here,. im originaly from a east africa my country was colonised by the italians and english.my family sufferd a lot and a lot of inocent lifes were lost, here im here today im black and muslim and i have friends from every back ground english,asian,irish.greek,chinese,turkish,italians and many more we are all diffrent yet we still have respect for one anothers back ground, i could never say something racist to my white friends because what ever happend happend a long time ago i cant hold them responsible they have nothing to do with it.you will get SCUM in every religon,coulture and colour im black and muslim doesnt mean i agree with what that FEDEX driver said to you its Racism is wrong full stop and HE SHOULD BE DELT WITH!!! Its wrong to genarlise you cant say all people who are from a particular back ground are the same.

You and I both know very well, that calling someone a 'black b*stard' would definately be treated as a racist remark... Im aware of a man with learning difficulties, who was charged and preosecuted for making that very remark to a man who was mugging / seriously assaulting him. When apprehended the antagonist made the claim which the real victim admitted. Only the victim of the assault was prosecuted, although it was dropped by the CPS at crown.
