Oh well I cant realy comment,Ive only got a set of GT spec 2 headers, a 3 inch exhaust, APS CAI, and a remap and im running 360bhp / 350 lbs-ft of torque. If I was running methanol I would be about 10 on top of the bhp / lbs-ft figures

theres alot to be said for bolt ons!

More like 125hp, 128 at best, 130 has never been reached without bits being slapped on, only a decent exhaust might add a few horses, induction kits do naff all on pugs.

As for my scoob ive always guestimate my figures around 330/340hp seeing as the bits i have on are the same as a lot on here do as well thus giving me an approximate figure, that and cars ive taken on suggest this figure possibly more who knows......

She runs around 1.4/1.5 bar

Its not just the bhp / **** size competitors, its the people who have absolutely no concept of POWER TO WEIGHT and believe that any car putting out 250 bhp MUST be faster than one with 200 bhp etc...

Same applies to engine size, a 2.0 car has to be faster than a 1.6 regardless that one is a Mondeo and the other an Atom.

Personally I blame Ebay, I dont think I've seen an Impreza on there yet that wasnt making at least 300bhp, even if bog standard apart from an STi badge stuck on the boot and a pair of furry dice.

Did have a rolling road print out from the previous owner. With a mild steel Peco exhaust system (pre-car model too), she was running just over 133bhp.

The system was modified (after a weld gave way), and is now totally straight through, no silencers etc except for the backbox. Does feel a little perkier, to say with the above figure, she was running lean too.

To be honest though, it's been proven that the original Peugeot exhaust (non pattern type) is the best for performance you can get. The magnex including manifold gave a 2bhp increase on a back to back dyno. Many other exhausts lost power. Many years ago now in one of the first issues of Max Power before it went gay.

It's not just limited to car's either..

I owned a stage 1 Seadoo jetski (running 215-225hp) which could knock on 70mph on open water... went to a wedding and unfortunatly got introduced to a total ojiot who was spouting on about a 90mph Yamaha he'd been on... I pointed out (at the time) the world record was only 86mph on a hugely modded Yam in the States...and that it took a mile or so to get to that speed (big impeller and thus slower acceleration) his answer... "well this one was the same spec... I been on it and it was going 90mph around the lake we were on..." toss pot.... no idea.... he was prob going 50mph max...

You should try sitting on the same table as a bunch of Cossie owners.

"Mine's 300bhp, well mines 400bhp, well MINES 500bhp".....then someone notices I'm not joining in on the banter and pipes up witha snigger: "What's that NSX of yours got, AL?"

280bhp, and my ***** is 10" long and 3" wide

We all know that all scoobies make over 500hp at the pubs

Terry, care to share your spec, turbo, boost and fuel used for that graph?

Christ, too much to mention in one lifetime - but basically it's a 2.33 CDB with higher spec cams, and fully ported heads, a rotated Turbo Dynamics hybrid turbo based on a GT32 (we believe), 1000cc injectors, Simtek ECU running boost at 2.2 bar max (on the road - less on the rollers). Fuel used for that run was Sunoco GTPLus - 109 RON race fuel. The run on VPower made 570bhp.

Thing is, power readings differ significantly form dyno to dyno. I know one dyno here that claims a standard MY02 WRX puts out 90 - 95kW (120 - 126bhp) atw, another claims 130kW (172bhp) atw.

Looking at scoobynet I've never seen a WRX that makes less than 210bhp???

My MY01 has a new EJ257 forged shortblock, CP pistons, Eagle billet rods, AVO450s turbo, Deatschwerks 750cc injectors, polished and ported heads, APS TMIC, ECUtek 2 remap, catless up-pipe, 3" catback exhaust and cold-air induction kit with K+N filter. It makes 246kW atw (328bhp) at 21psi boost.

Thing is, the highly respected builder tells me that the 450 bhp turbo is at it's limit.........does this mean that the dyno he uses isn't 'corrected', or should I mutiplying my power figures by 1.3 to get the proper 'bu11****' figure????

Simple, ask to see the dyno printout, ask where it was mapped and by who.
