Surging power delivery when on boost?

hi mate i just did this job today and it worked a treat, i let out a bit of oil from the sump, till it was 3 quarter full on the dip stick, then cleaned the boost solenoid and attached pipes.

Yea the boost solenoid is on the left by the suspension turret. there is a bracket with 3 screws holding it on, i took this off so i could access the solenoid more easily. i then put car in test mode (connected the 2 green connectors under the dash) then sprayed brake cleaner into the now clicking solenoid for 20 secs. did the same for the pipes coming out of the solenoid, no black crap came out but it must of done something cos my car is running like a dream again now! defnitly back in porsche eating territory now !!

I have got rid of the surging problem , i got a 3 port boost solenoid put on and that done the trick, well happy

Where does the third pipe go?! and what does it do?

A T piece is put in on one of the hoses that comes off the intlet manifold, to be honest mate i don't know what it does, all i know is a three port controls boost better, got it fitted at a garage, he did explain to me but i have got a sieve for a brain , hopefully someone will be along to explain.

If you mean the thicker one that sits at the bottom of the solenoid, it goes to the resonator box (I think thats what its called), the part between the air intake and the turbo elbow hose, under where the large air intake pipe goes into the box
