Where did you expect the 2008 Impreza WRC to be after 5 rallies ?

Subaru haven`t done any good since that french engineer/designer bloke went to Ford - Christian Leroiux (sp?), he sempt to make to Focus into a winner.

Ford only really got really successful with the 2nd generation of Focus, took them years to develop it to a consistent winner. Citroen ran the Xara WRC in the French championship for 2 years before entering in the WRC.

Testing and development are key to making the necessary improvements. The more hours testing you have and the more driver inputs you have, then the better you can develop the car.

I am 'for real' and there is no need to rant. You have totally misunderstood my point. Of course intensive testing & development are crucial elements in producing a winning car. My understanding was that this process has been ongoing for the past 18 months or so with this car, (correct me if I am wrong). I would also argue that there is a lot more at stake for Subaru than there is for Suzuki. SWRT have a reputation and the most experience. They should be expected to 'hit the ground running'. I am a long standing fan like you presumably, but am obviously more reluctant about accepting the official excuses! (Note only one exclamation mark).
