I went to the first round of the Time Attack this year when it was snowing at Donnington. There I was all warm and snug in my Subaru Team Sweden full on winter jacket laughing my bollocks off at everyone freezing their's off.

Studied the whole hooligan culture/behaviour thing as part of my degree and the hardcore elements all wear designer gear - no team colours nor replica shirts. I'd even go as far as to say that they even try to outdress each other with their designer gear before they kick seven shades of **** out of each other, but I think we're digressing from the original post now.

I dont think 90% of the people care what others are doing, and those that are doing it should have the confidence not to care what others think.
But the OP called for opinions so every comment above is valid.

my opinion is that it signifies a sad desperation to fit into a club, maybe not the guy with a hat or a keyring or even a polo, but the people who have Subaru gear on head to toe and while driving the car.
Clearly there is no diversification in their lives and Psychology 101 dictates that's unhealthy, bordering on OCD/obsession.
