I do realise that Leslie. But the effects of a heavier car are felt less in the wet conditions. Didn't Alonso run a 1 stopper and started quite a way down? Yes, his stop was timed to perfection with the whether, but he had to run with quite abit more fuel than Lewis.

Now Button is a truely wasted talent. It is such a shame to see him and Rubens for that matter fighting at the back end of the pack. I'd like to see what he could do in a Mclaren!

I remember meeting him in his first season of F1 in 2000 at the British grand prix. He was so much more approachable than how Lewis appears today. His answers are far more genuine and he can have a laugh with the reporters. Maybe it has something to do with the team, but if you really are 'that' good, f&ck them and say what you want.

I'd say the way Jenson was going to jump ship back to Williams in 2004, and subsequently payed off Williams when he was offered a better deal with Honda, shows just how determined he is under that "cool" exterior.

I don't get what you are trying to say? That he is only after money?

If they were both on one stoppers the fuel weights can't have been so much different, and Alonso was lucky in that he did not have to stop a second time to change tyres. He did drive well though.

Glad to hear that Button is easy to talk to. I just feel sorry for him having to cope with the questions from that Louise with all the piston rings down her arm!

I found Jim Clark, Graham Hill, and particularly Jackie Stuart very easy to chat to as well as Murray Walker incidentally.

Have you actually tried to have a conversation with Hamilton yet so that you can justify what you say about him?

I'm saying he's a far more focused and ruthless person than you make him out to be ie: Mr Cool.

I'm not knocking him...I admire him 100%... but he's not some random Mr Nice guy... he's a proffessional athlete who's looking out for number one... just because he doesn;t come across cocky in an interview, doesn't make him any different to lewis.

No, that why I said 'appears'. But Button acts the same on the telly as he did when we first met him over 8 years ago. My God, has it really been that long!

No, you like him because he doesn't spend 5 minutes of thinking how to answer a question. Button just tells it like it is.

Yes..he's got the ultimate excuse...the Ronda is S-L-O-W

He can be Mr Nice guy all day long.... the media will never come down on him or put the amount of pressure that's on Lewis's shoulders, nothing is expected of him this season... and prob not even next season... best thing to happen to Button was a better Brit coming along... he's got an easy life now... (said with tounge in cheek)

Having said that... I do hope Ronda get their fingers out their ***'s next season and give him a competative car... I'd love nothing more than to have 2 Brit's on the podium... and not 2 more different styles of driving as well..

Do you actually read what you post? It sounds as though you are in love with the guy! I can understand it to a degree, I was an avid schumacher support from the moment he stepped into a Jordan. I always defended his actions but I accepted why others didn't like him. You better get used to Hamilton receiving critisism as well as praise. It just goes with the territory.

He will have the first Ross Brawn-developed Honda car. Let's hope he can do at Honda what he did at Ferrari, and get Jense and Rubens mixing it at the very least in the midfield.

Did it not take him a few years at Ferrari, and he had the gift of Schumacher on the way. It seems the real 'driving' gift is being able to develop a car and set it up. As this season progresses I think that Alonso might actualy be as good as he claims. Button, Barichello, Hamilton, Massa and Raikonnen have never started with a bad car and made it good. Sometimes they get the best out of a good car and sometimes they don't. I think Hamilton's track abilities are second to none, but you have to admit that his season went t1ts up last year after Alonso stopped sharing set up info

Button seems to start with a bad car every time, and Barrichello's is hardly much different. I regret that Button never got a good car after his great showing at Williams.

As I remember it was not car set up which caused Hamilton to lose the title last year as much as unreliabilty and crew errors.

There is no denying Schumacher's driving ability but his motives and actions were questionable.
