VAUXHALL WHEEL WOBBLE
#61
Just spoken to the customer care manager. He told me the Vauxhall technician (came up from Luton!) has been out and tried my car (twice) and has been unable to diagnose the problem and therefore is unable to fix the problem Very odd me thinks
Anyhoos I now have an appointment with the franchise manager tomorrow to discuss where we go from here. Will post the outcome tomorrow.
Oh and that'll be £210 spent on hire car so far!!
Spec'c'57 Anymore news on yours yet???
Volks Has your mate managed to sort a new car yet??

The Accord my mate was after fell through, he was trying to get 12 months tax thrown in with the deal. Meanwhile, during one of his `I`ll think about it` periods another salesman sold the car for the screen price!

Yes he did.
Just got back from Vauxhalls;
They've agreed to swapping the vehicle with no cost whatsoever to me. Will be delivered late January!! I certainly didn't expect that!!
I have to run about in my car for now but to be fair they have sent it back fully valeted and with a FULL tank (490 odd miles) of diesel!!
My persistence has finally paid off
Spec'c'57 keep on at them, its worth it!!

we still DONT want it tho. Finally (well so they say) the new LPG tank for other van SHOULD be in 2moro. We Cannot bear to wait 7/8 weeks for pretty much any part which started last year waiting for a filter for the service.

Funnily enough STILL no LPG tank. also have chased vauxhall/suppling dealer about an update, it looks like the customer care team see an oppotunity to sell another 2 vans hench the call a few weeks ago. BUT they are now looking at pricing up our 2 vans to take them back. TBH we want a full refund on the 57 plate one and as much as possible on the 56. See where we go in a few days i guess.

Answer to the above. Nowhere. Just had an aftersales rep here for a meeting and ALL they will offer In 'GOODWILL' is a possible replacement 57 plate (if they find a suitable LPG) for the 56... Time for some legal letters i think...

seems that way. Firstly vx have called and offered to replace the older van with a newer diesel, we get to choose off of network Q. The newer one is in talks still as they seem to think there havent been enough issues. only off the road for 90 days in its first year. Anyway the airbag light is now on

Not that quickly, BUT hopefully progressing. Auto Express been on the phone again and are watching/getting updates from vauxhall weekly. Still no real solution altho an offer is maybe in the post. We gave the supplying dealer a shock yesterday tho. took my van in for a service they actually called after home time friday. means i kept there van for the weekend when they called again yesterday i i told them until something was sorted they WONT be getting the van back. well that started a hillarious chain of events, we had 3/4 phone calls in 10 mins threatening to come collect from our yard ( told them it was locked inside) Told if we drive it, it wont be insured its on our company policy until i take it off as they want £7 per day for ins. anyway i eventually took it back and no-one said a word.

I'm liking your style need to be kept on their toes the shower of f**kin idiots Keepin my fingers crossed you get a suitable outcome soon.
Mine has been in already (only two weeks old) It has a noisy ABS unit and the central locking on one of the doors had stopped working!! I f**kin give up!! First and last time I ever buy a Vauxhall

Back it for a full refund. There seems there might still be the offer of a newer van to replace the older one. well we spoke to the district manager yesterday who first said of the offer. when we asked to what value van can we have off network Q we never actually got a reply. maybe as we said what ever its worth just give us the money as all we will do is sell it. strangly we never got an answer.

Just spoken to the customer care manager who said the District manager will not consider rejection until they have seen the car first. Fed up of going back and forth to sh1tty Vauxhall dealerships. Told him because of what happened last time I'm not prepared to do that. Left him with it, the story continues...........

The end of Vauxhalls letter says :
If you do not wish to liase with Lookers Ellesmere Port again, I would respectfully, advise you to visit an alternative Vauxhall dealership. However, if you wish to reject your vehicle under your contract of sale, you will have to discuss this with the dealership whom you purchased the vehicle from.
