THEO THEO THEO
He's played brilliantly for Arsenal this season so far and he did it again for England tonight - what a blinding performance
As for Croatia, what a bunch of dirty cheating w4nkers and should have been down to 9 men not 10 after those continual body checks. The injury to Cole looked horrendous, good to see him at the end being a lad and being out there and showing everyone look what i've got

Solid England performance but I wont be going OTT. I thought the red card was possibly a little harsh but the other CB should have been off so call if fair.
I still think the left side problem exists. Maybe young can fill that role?
Terry was shocking last night. He's slow and it shows.

Walcott was poor in the first 15 minutes, his first touch was shocking but once he settled into the game he played well. As said though, wasnt many crosses and opportunities given to the front two from the wing though.

I thought he was terrible up to the first goal which was lucky it ended up at him. Not taking anything away from this finish though. In fact he took all three goals superbly. I think you're going OTT though. He had the good burst n the first half when he got pole-axed but I don;t think he provided anything for the front 2. As you say maybe he's destined to be a striker.

I thought Rooney played superbly in the second half and continually looked for Walcott to make use of his pace, the first half he was far too deep and defending all the time. A. Cole was shocking in the first half and Terry did not inspire confidence either. Calamity James was flapping all over the place and a couple of times he was fortunate to not get caught out by being miles off his line when he had no reason to be.
It wasn't a perfect performance by any means but a damn site better than against Andorra and some of the build up play in the second half was very good and shows promise that we can play very good exciting football, something we haven't done for quite a while.
The red card was for dangerous play and no question in my opinion, he led with his elbow hard and the gash on Coles head was massive. That is dangerous play and I don't understand anyone who says otherwise.
On the question of the left, I think Walcott could play there and do just as well leaving the right for Bentley to whip in crosses. The last goal he scored for Arsenal he came in from the left and was the spitting image of Henry curling a ball into the far right corner.

yup, fair enough. As said Theo is getting all the credit for the goals but rooneys second half performance is imo probably the best ive seen him in an england shirt. his vision/touch/passing was superb. I'm praying this is his turning point for country(not club ) as an on form rooney will win us the big games.
Whats happened to downing? i thought he was going to be our answer on the left. tbh i havent seen him play recently(end of last season) has he turned gash?thought he would of been the obvious replacement for when Cole went off. Thought Jenas did well though

LOL all the media outlets are wetting themselves this morning, so predictable !
For me the 1st half was a messy affair with little shape to either side, well taken goal by Theo, the sending off had a big influence on the score, although the 2nd half performance from England saw them creating better channces getting into better area's but was that because they were playing against 10 men ?.
Bilic soon changed his tune, yesterday morning they were no better than Maccas team and after the game they were the best team in Europe.
I'm with Harry Redknapp,, we had 7 players who appeared in the ECL final we should be beating teams like Croatia for fun.
Lerts not get carried away now
