bit harsh calling me a joker and a pri*k!!! you rang me up after reading my for sale thread, which you got my mob number from, i clearly stated that they needed refurbing in the ad AND when you rang me.thats why i was selling them so cheap. when you turned up at mine i gave you each shock to look at and you said you were happy, i sold them with no warrenty or come backs, so why should i have to re pay you for having them fitted?? and if the parts that im selling are so crap why do you still email me wanting 4 pot brakes and an sti interior??!

dont try blackening my name because you chose to ignore what i told you on the phone and in the ad for the sake of getting cheap coilovers!!!

Why not just take the plunge and bin the Classifieds section, bar the Group Buy part. Then no-one can be ripped off. AND I will save some money!

Posted about feedback before MKIV Supra forum had it and it seemed to work well. Even the SIDC has a warning system that could be used in a similar way. I know there will be some admin but since Scoobynet is a comercial venture now it shouldn't be too much to implement.

Not really the answer is it? There are many honest people who sell things on hear(including me),and wouldn't be fair on them. End of the day,get a good picture of anything advertised, and with engines, boxe's turbo's etc,you need to get a proper recipet stating the condition.Still not ideal i know, but you have the same problem any place you buy second hand parts.

I have sold a lot of parts on here myself and had no problems i am always honest and send pic's ect ect, as for those mirrors i would have put them in the bin i would not have sold them on as it would just cause problems like the one you are having now and it's no good to anyone, i have also been sold some parts described as good condition and when i recieved them they wernt if people were just honest there would be no problems.

I agree, its a bit of a tongue-in-cheek riposte to all the threads about people getting fleeced. There SHOULD be a name and shame thread, and then we would all know about the 404 wannabes that could potentially fleece us all. I love sending my dosh on my car, and the best way is secondhand. I have bought a full(no up pipe yet!) decat on here for £100. Not bad value considering the parts would have cost over £350 new. We just need to root out the low life who continue to fleece honest guys.

Ive bought and sold a few things though Scooby Net and never had a problem.
Guess Ive been lucky.

I have read alot of posts on hear about people getting ripped off.

I think a feedback system would be a good idea.
Again you would have to be carefull but at least it would help.

LOL. ROTFL. I was going to infract a dodgy trader but I don't think you are allowed to infract people for being pratts so I didn't bother. Not sure the facility of infraction actually works. I actually got one but that was subsequently overturned.
There is a problem with a small minority that are greedy and prepared to tell lies to sell items and worse still, people who take the money but the goods never turn up. There is also a problem with people who are very slow to deliver.
In clear cases scammers should be banned but that doesn't stop them reappearing under another name. It must be possible to devise a system for feedback that would be substantially policed by the members themselves but as has been pointed out to me previously, the moderators are not there to act as judge and jury and while a feedback section sounds like a good idea I would be concerned it could be abused by the unscrupulous or those with an axe to grind.
Properly thought out this would be an advantage to everyone.

BE QUIET!! & could the mods delete his post please

But seriously with a lot of people in trouble with money at the moment, the last thing people need is someone ripping someone else off. Something needs to be put in place and it doesn't take a lot I wouldn't of thought to open a feedback section on the forum.

and in particular :

Banning seems to be the price of exposing losers
I do detect a reluctance in some cases to deal satisfactorily with some people who break the rules. It is like drawing teeth and takes stamina and determination to see it through.

.When i sent 2 emails to the mods they just ignored me
This has been my experience over the last ten days and the new owners and their appointees do not seem to be aware of the rules and moderators hands are tied or reluctant to take action/responsibility.

Why,i was trying to protect others from losing their money
I know how you feel and I think Scoobynet, whoever Scoobynet is now needs to take a look at what is happening and restore confidence.

I know we are talking about a very small number of dishonest people but their names will crop up regularly and the taste it leaves and the reflection on Scoobynet is grossly disproportional to the actual number of offenders so it is really in the interests of this board to take the bull by the horns.
But will it happen??????????????????????/

Whereas I agree things on SN sale wise have gone down hill it amazes me how many people you read about are not happy with what they have brought, but will not send it back and get a refund, it defies logic to me, either accept them, agree a partial refund, or send them back, if you get no satisfaction pay them a visit.
That said a rating system of some sort would be benificial.

And after "said user" said pm him with my details and i'd be refunded i did so straight away and..............................................
