Pointless Cars....

If there was a manual M5, you may have a point. Until then, I'd rather have an M3 4 door than an M5 (which should be called the M5 A).
Also, the old M3 four door was a tiny car compared to the latest one - which is bigger than an 80's 5 series IIRC.

All Smart cars - such an ironic name for something so useless... ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Porka Cayenne is without doubt just a statement of "too much money, not enough class".
Mini Clubman - Essentially, a Citroen Belingo with alloys...
Citroen Xsara Picassos - Why have a 5 seater "people carrier"?
Mitsubishi Shogun Sports - utterly utterly pointless.

We`ve had a fortwo in the family for 4 years now, fantastic little cars so long as you accept that they`re built for city life.
Peanuts to run (£35 RFL, 50mpg, pennies to insure, cheap to service, as long as you stay away from franchised dealers), fun to drive in a strange way, utterly reliable and totally classless.

can't include landcruiser in the right env-- like africa and australia
landrover had 95% of 4 x 4 share in oz till japs came along- they have 95% now. land rovers out there are too unreliable.
cars like the rover 25 streetwise, vw and renault do similar-
normal hatch covered in lots of plastic to make it appear off-road.

All Peugots, Citroens and Renaults - why would anyone choose to buy a french car when you can get something much better from a Japanese company, or Ford, Vauxhall etc... ?
Same with italian cars that arent Ferraris or similar supercars - cant think of one reason to buy a Fiat or Alfa

I don't know about French cars, I mean how many NCAP 4 cars that weigh 1030kg and catch the odd impreza out by surpise be pointless? Of course I'm talking about the Clio 172. Can't get that with a Fiesta.
Even many standard superminis weigh the same as the Ark Royal yet alone the sporty derivatives
So with that in mind, any small car/supermini/city car that weighs more than 1050kg especially any sporty versions.
