Sam

I was watching the boost as we were powering along.Right enough it seemed to drop off from 22 to 18 as the revs increase.Pete said yous tried the dawes but not a good result..did it do the same??
Maybe try adjusting the actuator & reset the mbc and disconnect the boost solenoid. The TD05 should be able to hold stable at that pressure without too much trouble. Its booked in for a oil change this week, so we'll try a few things with it.

Keep you posted m8

Bugger

As I thought might happen I wont be running the full power I hoped for as its gonna be too rushed to get it in time for Crail altho it WILL be ready for the next one I go to

Guess I'll need to make do with about 1 bar and around 250-260BHP

Excuses ?!?!

Na mate, I'm gutted at the same time but at least me water injection arrived today to cheer me up a bit. Once its plumbed in, its off to get mapped on the unichip for 3D water injection

Might need to see about upping the boost in preparation for the next Crail p'raps

BTW, whose giving me a go in the passenger seat then ?? I'm really intersted in that White EVO (Dave's I think) in the video just to fell what its like launching like he did versus that Cosworth

Pete, yer right mate, it's still in my grasps. I've wrestled with changing it for a while, but there is 'nothing' that take my fancy over it.....in a sensible price bracket!!

I've resisted the tuning bug so far but yer man Sam has got me turning. Get some money freed up around Easter and I'll soon catch the virus.

I'll probably not make the 24th as I'm on nightshift, but I'll be making an appearance soon

just drive through Crail, then you get to a bloody awful piece of road (when tyre noise increases you'll know your on it ) drive for a few mins along this road and you will see old aircraft hangers on the RHS, its about there!! theres signs where you go in and a sign 100yds previous to the entry.

err thrashin starts at 11 i think, can arrive before that though! 6quid usually for entrance/spectation

if you get lost just follow some modded mota from crail in the hope that its coming to the thrash!

c u there

only when I make it all the way round ,look in drivetrain at mattski2's fmic thread,to see why I do not like thrashing it on the road, except when the temptation is too strong and it would be rude not too .theres no way I would have got away with that on the road.

Your car sounds fabulous Barry - can't wait to see it. Mine is little changed from last time except about 20% power at the top and rather more in the mid but still on pea shooter turbo.

Don't know any "amateurs" that will do it personally. Springs require safety precautions because of some very unpleasant injuries. I would also be cautious if the steering wheels involve airbags - from safety and expense if it goes wrong. After springs you need the geometry done I understand. Maybe best to get these two done professionally?

john,

cheers anyway. i have arranged for a "pro" to do the work on sat.

do you know when your going up?? found any more local scooby owners who are making the journey??

there is a heap of "dunfermline boy racers" meeting up at mcdonalds between 9:30am and 10am. supposedly a big convoy of them are all going up, think ur scooby might look a little outa place tho wiv the novas and cavvy gsi's!!!
