Im going to be camping there , hopefully get some runs in on the saturday. should be less people there on saturday , so less time sitting in queues.
plus its £20 UNLIMITED runs on sat , although I never do more than 5.
On the Sunday its £15 for 3 runs.

now we just need some dry weather and it should be a good wkend.

was thinking the same thing. I can't understand why the important Japshow finale is held on a day with a rain soaked drag strip. I bet there'll be plenty of wheelspinning

just come back and what a cr*p day, camping is a total mud bath with cars getting stuck all over the place, and most of the pod is under water!

went to have a walk around the trade stands, but there is sooooooo much water, you need wellys just to get through.

every show i have been to at the pod this year, has rained and windy

I got up this morning, looked outside and decided not to go in the end. It's a shame it was so rainy. I think the next time I venture to the Pod will be in 6 months though!

Nice vid btw Daone!

Yes I was gutted as was looking forward to it all week

Mainly wanted to cheer my Dad up as things have been a bit down for him lately so I paid for him and my brother in law to go

I never knew the weather was going to be so bad and the impact that it would have but as many have said it was just waterlogged everywhere.....

On top of all that there was just so much tacky stuff there, it reminded me of why I stopped going to car events, some of the cars were just nasty

The only good thing was we got to go up there in my brother-in-laws Evo X

(sorry for the miserable post lol, just a bit fed up)

I used to go up there alot, but now i can't stand the place.

The attitude of the people who run it stinks. They cram as many people as possible in, and charge as much as they can.

The last 2 shows i have been to up there have been have been so poorly run. Each time it took almost 2 hours just to get out the place, the 'marshalls' they use are worse than useless.

Think i'll stick to the Time Attack events instead. More to watch and much better run.

Rant over

Nice vid - what time did you get? Going from the vid, looks like around 13s which is a very decend time? Was the track wet when you ran?

Personally the Jap Finale should be held in Sept - we hardly get any decent weather as it is but we are thick in the autumn season now so chances of good weather are minimal!

12.8 @107 is still good though mate . You must be running good power - 350 bhp or above?

I clocked a late 12s at York Raceway about 5 weeks ago at 105 odd but was having boosting probs . Had planned to go Pod today but weather put me off. I had a burn up with a Porsche Carrerra 3 and a Type 25 yesterday, so was eager to see what time I could have achieved today.

Crash? - Did someone hit a wall or something?

went down on saturday, did 2 runs, broke into the 13's , which I was pretty pleased with.
I saw the supercharged s2000, didnt know he crashed though, hope it wasnt too bad.
a bonnet came flying off one of the pro drag cars at about 150 mph luckily it didnt land near any people!
had a ride in a s14 drift mobile, which I have never been in before, alot of fun!

today was a complete washout , so as everyone was coming in I was leaving!!
