god is this thread still open. up until last september when i first even decided to think about buying an impreza as my next motor, i never knew the models. My mate always used to bang on about getting a P1 but i never knew it was three door until i joined this site..... god i only knew they done wrx's and sti's and thats from playing video games! And even in some of the video games they are incorrect, i.e choosing a wrx on the game which has 3 doors?? thats confusing. But everyones a newb at one time, i thought imprezas only came with the bigger spoiler at the back if they were an import!!!!! This site does have some very helpful chaps and ladies on and im glad to be a member and to even give advice too, just no need for the amount of slating and rude comments given to the OP, wind up or not, maybe he was being serious? Hey maybe he has an actual problem or something none of us properly know, its discrimination. Amount of times someone has banged on about here about young chavs buying imprezas as they are now easier and cheaper to buy.......naming them chavs just because they have the windows down or wearing any sort of cap or hat, or the stereo blaring, lol. Im no chav and yeah im young, and damn right ill have the windows down when im driving blaring my music out, i dont care. I pay my road tax and own my car i can do what i want in it, only to be called a chav by some people on the site though is dusgusting, who knows what everyone is and who cares, just write a simple answer to the question or dont even bother commenting at all!
Dude few posts up got it right... a little effort, thats it to fit in. Even when we're on msn I can understand you and your txt speak, doesn't bother me. But when you've got something like 15-20 lines with nothing as much as a full stop to break up the abbreviations, it really does take the **** a little. It's a little rude towards others too, as you would think the o.p. would invite a good first impression - same as I tried too 9,000+ posts ago in May 06' when I joined.

If it wasnt a wind up i think the OP chap would of been back to deffend himself. personally ive found it quite entertaining, Nothing extremly harsh has been said, people need to learn how to take a bit of banter.

I'm sorry, but its just lazy and rude. The guy is asking a question - basically asking for members to spend a bit of their own time to reply and help him out. If you have to read something 2 or 3 times over because he quite plainly can't even be bothered to try and illiterate then it's wasting your time.
I agree with all the people saying that it's not straight forward sometimes to know the model of an Impreza......I mean there are quite a lot of them! But go to google images and type in "Impreza WR1"......then go outside and look at what's parked on ur driveway. If they look the same, then you've got a WR1. If they don't, then you probably haven't! Easier than making the effort to sign up to a forum to ask the question innit! Fair play if it was an akward question that he'd failed to find the answer to elsewhere y'know? But it's just got lazyness written all over it, which I guess has annoyed a lot of us

Educated or not and no matter how loosely you interpret your own words it is NOT, under any circumstances a form of racism. Racism in any form is directed at a race of people NOT a persons written grammar. Your post claiming this is in its own way worse than the OP's post because you are condemning peoples criticisms of their post which contains poor grammar and spelling, while Your post on the other hand uses completely the wrong term for the insults. You do mean DISCRIMINATION no matter how much you try to argue the point.

I don't think the OP did a search to see what kind of site it is or he may not have bothered in the first place, Have a quick look at some of the crap posts in the last 10 days alone.
I think COB deserved the Infraction too, maybe for Trolling and unneeded posts, maybe it wasn't abusive but he does get away with murder at times,

I doubt very much whether the topic starter came to the site, registered and posted without so much as a quick glance beforehand.
In that quick glance he would have hopefully seen that there is a modicum of effort to use correct grammar and punctuation.
Then, with this is mind more effort should have been forthcoming in trying to at least fit.
Your standard of eduction should have nothing at all to do with making a little effort to reach a level of intellect that appeals to the masses and will invoke sensible responses.
Dyslexia is no excuse, genuine dyslexia sufferers take extra time and care to try to get things correct. Unfortunately there is a bandwagon associated with this in as much as any retard who cannot spell correctly (read: is too lazy) states they have dyslexia, yet ironically they can spell non standard words and can read "txt spk" perfectly. Crazy.
As for all the n00bs stating that we should cut this guy a break, STFU quite frankly, you are the next generation that is making this site what it is and you're claiming its rubbish so go figure.
Also, who cares if its a wind up, what is important is that this has brought about a revolution, the masses have spoken.
It is important that we mock lazy and stupid people, otherwise they have no inspiration to improve.
