One of the many things that bugged me were the fines that they got for no insurance. One guy got £140 (IIRC) and the other £600ish. Think I might just cancel my policy and run the risk of getting caught once a year - it's a lot cheaper. Oh, and the Czech guy that lied to the insurance company?? How the **** did they continue to cover him when it was obvious he was pulling the wool over THEIR eyes.
(I'd never cancel my policy for the record - I'm just venting)

Woman, 40, on murder charge
Pedestrian hurt on M6 sentenced to a day in jail | Article from Sentinel, The (Stoke-on-Trent UK) | HighBeam Research
If she wasn't unhinged before being hit by a truck she may well have been afterwards... looks like the court case for the motorway incident was the 19th of May, and if I'm reading it right that was the day before the murder...

- but more importantly to the insurers they can stick another 50% on following the call or cancel it

most of them me thinks.
and when you get a £800 fine for doing 112mph, over the drink drive limit, no TAX/MOT/Insurance and no valid UK driving license, Oh and 6 points to be added onto a driving license he hasn't got anyway.
makes you think why do we bother!!
