£2100 here, provided you don't mind it's grey market and on a strap rather than a bracelet:

I got the black..

Just prefered the look as it happens..

As its a present i cant have it till my birthday,so my other half says

But it is only tommorrow,so i guess i can wait till then!!

Pacenote..

I cant quite believe how good the watch feels on your arm.It seems to sit perfectly on the wrist.I have had 2 links taken out of mine, and i do have quite a big wrist. But once sized they feel good.
I thought that it may feel quite heavy, but was suprised.

I like the heft of the watch.

I like the gas tubes.

I like the huge RR buckle and the double lug screws.

I like the crown lock, its precise, and no messin.

I like the fact that nobody knows what it is.

I like the fact that the Chinese rip of artists dont copy them.

I was a bit miffed at the fact that the bezel is not Tritium gas filled, and it shows big time against the rest of the face.

I choose my Ball EHC above most at the moment.

I hope yours gives you as much pleasure as mine has.

Get ready for " BALL.........Never heard of them."

To this I answer, " No I dont expect you have."

Just going under the stairs to admire my lights..

I'm not having a go here @ mitch or anyone else.

the 30% IS a great offer............ however I would be very careful about shouting this from the rooftops!!

Company i work for buys in excess of £60 million per year of vouchers which we then supply to our clients, we get some terrific discounts and also deal with the afore mentioned jewellers.

I do know that they would not be happy that this was in the public domain - supplier and staff discounts are volume based and or a perk of the job, I'd hate to think that anyone could end up in the crap for divulging what offers they can pass on.

You would be amazed at the lengths retailers go to in terms of tracking where vouchers have originated from i.e. if I were to buy Vouchers @ 20% discount, flog them on e-bay to every tom dick or harry........ they know which client / branch they have issued vouchers to and they will follow it up!

Anyway enough of my ramblings - good news on the Ball hydrocarbon, a stunning watch!! Well done on getting a great deal!

Love this review of the hydrocarbon;

The Ball Engineer HydroCarbon Chronograph: Long - DIAL-UP Warning - Watchuseek Watch Forums

I'll stick with my Edox (another brand that gets.... Edox, who?)

Edox Class 1 Chronograph Titanium Spirit of Norway LE - the watch package - Watchuseek Watch Forums

Regards

£2000 = a nice 2nd hand Sea Dweller or Sub, GMT master or Explorer II.

then you won't lose what you paid.

Sorry... BALL????

do they hold their price well when you need to sell when fuel bills go sky high??

Yoza... Black or white face?

There's your answer - keeping its financial value isn't really a priority.

I've not heard a bad word said about Ball watches personally; they might not have much in the way of brand recognition over here, but it could be argued that's a good thing anyway.

Yea probably...

I still have my submariner but it is in the draw upstairs, its now 12 yrs old and looks the worse for wear. Its not worth having repaired,as the quote i recieved from the dealer was as much as its worth.

Seadweller's are a lovely watch, but 2k for a second one is not a deal i would take. There just not that desirable to me..
If i was gonna blow the full £2k i would definately have waited and bought a IWC Spitfire chrono when one came up.

For the money i paid for the Ball..The isnt a Rolex to match it.

Im sure i wont "lose" what i paid by buying the ball..

Its usually Rolex wearers who say exactly what Salsa says...

" Sorry, Ball ??? "

" That wont last. "

" Who are they ? "

I think its a bit of eliteism, but as a Rolex owner amongst others, I have seen quality in many brands, and my view is not just focused on Rolex.

There is more to quality watchmaking than the Rolex brand, although they are in my opinion up there at the top of the tree.

I dont see Rolex trying hard enough with new inovations or technoligy, they dont seem to branch out and do something different, they 'play safe'. And I suppose they dont need to try too hard anyway their books are all ways full.

Im not knocking Salsa but the statement was so 'Rolexwearertypical'.

Hence why I love wearing my not so well known Panerai, Ball, Chase-durer.

Steak is nice......but there is so much more on the menu that you need to try.

There is only one thing worse than a " Ball/panerai/chase-durer, who are they ? " statement.......

And this is it :- " How much.....I wouldnt pay that for a watch, mines a Casio cost me a tenner and it does the job as well as yours."

How long does a luminous watch tend to glow for after it's been out in the sun anyway?

I bought a cheap chrono last month which has luminous hands; it only glows for a few minutes after it's been exposed to a strong light, which means that feature is completely useless in practise. Should I expect a Rolex, IWC or similar brand to glow for longer, or is it a limitation of the luminous materials available?

Tritium Gas watches

I am aware that my Ball watches with their Tritium gas filled tubes will actually wear out.

In about 25 years they will be as good as spent., Salsa will love this...

As for standard luminous paint, it stores the light from any light source then slowly emitts it, but I know very little about it.

I have found SUPERLUMINOVA on my Chase-Durers extremely bright and long lasting, as in right through the night / 10 hours.

I dont know what is on my Panerai Luminor Daylight but it is also very bright.

I had an old Russian Submariners watch that needed its face re-furbing, but nobody would touch it as they said the luminous paint used on older watches was highly radioactive.

That's just what I wanted to hear - thanks

Lost count of the number of times I've been camping, woken up in the night and struggled to even find my watch, let alone read it. Of course, I probably wouldn't take a decent watch on a camping trip anyway...
