Diesel.........

What are you on about??????

Where have you seen marketing and branding for a "Ball" watch ?? They dont do anything like Rolex,Breitling or Omega etc when it comes to advertising and celebrity endorsments..

I think you will find the engineering that goes into a ball watch will match any of the "big" watch makers you care to name..

I do find it funny that that you have a Breitling with a battery in. A company that advertises itself shamelessly and sticks a battery inside a watch and charges a fortune for it.

Its like any expensive quartz watch,£10 of **** in a £2 bag..

I do have to laugh at some of the celebrity 'endorsements'... do the manufacturers actually believe we think that F1 drivers (for example) choose a particular brand on its merits? If that's the case, I have news for them

About the only such endorsement that carries any weight with me is NASA's endorsement of the Speedmaster Pro - at least that was based on an actual evaluation of the product, even if it was done about 40 years ago. Next time I go to the moon I'll definitely get one...

LOL . Just winding you (and me) up lads We are all bonkers if you ask me!

I still dont see much point in paying a fortune for mechanicals you never see and are far more prone to go wrong and need costly servicing mind This is especially as I'm not a real pilot but do read GQ on planes making me qualified

Ball is yet another company that have taken a medium priced watch that is no better than any of the "Orient" brand . Boxed them up nicely and managed to get some good advertising. People tend to follow the "herd" and like Panerai will become fashionable. This does not mean they are good watches.

I would put my money into a Good seiko or old Omega. Better made and better heritage.
check marine masters or this little baby if your rich !!!

Still not too keen on them though. The lume technology is impressive if you like that sort of thing (do they glow all the time or do you have a press a button?) but the standard ETA mechanisms that you can find in £150 watches everywhere and many a fake rolex/breitling etc aren't very forward thinking.

They are also all manufactured (other than mechanism) on a part basis in China and shipped to Switzerland for assembly so they can still be "Made in Switzerland".

A Ball would cost about £80.00 to produce. Nothing more.
why people get suckered into these brands i never know.

Nat,

The lume needs no buttons pressed or external light to charge/activate.

Tritium gas filled tubes stay lit 100 brighter than Superluminova paint with no external light charge required.

Ball Watch USA, US Distributors of Ball Official Standard Luxury Watches

As you know SuperLuminova paint is as good as it gets yet after a light charge it is only good for 3-4 hours in total darkness.

Down side to Tritium tech... is they (the sealed tubes) only last 25 years then become dim, infact they start the depleation process from the day they are filled.

Ball 7750 25 Jewel movements have never seen China, and if you can buy original swiss made 7750 movements for £150 get me 10...cheers.

Just give in Nat.....You want a DC1016A-SJ-BK...its nothing to be ashamed of, come out the closet!

Later Yoza, all BALLED UP.

PS. Luke your just on a wind up..

Nat is drunk...Im sure of it !!!

Yoza..Never had my ball off my arm since i bought it and the 7750 is showing incredible accuracy.
Will be 3 months in a week since i bought it and it has gained 12 secs to date..
So...The Subby and the IWC are in the draw for the moment and the Ball is on the arm..
Had plenty of comments about this watch,in fact more than any watch i have ever owned. All of them positive as yet, people asking where to buy and websites to look up etc etc..
This watch was a bargain...And even more of a bargain due to a certain Snetter that got me a brilliant discount.

Luke.. Show me where you can get 7750 movements from for under £80.. And also, tritium tubes at a cheap price..??

You must know how much they are as you can build one for £80 eh,you must have made your comment with some kind of informed information ??

no...... this is scoobynet , home to all thinks made up and wound up !!

still think ball are a crap watch with -100% class or heritage.

Give me a marine master any day or a Spring drive.

But having over 2 years experience buying fake watches almost full time in China and Vietnam i have seen just what is going on with all these so called "swiss watches" made by the Chinese.

As Ive said before, good luck to you with what you do.

They are all at it now.

I told a story about a Replica Panerai Luminor Daylight in Antalya Turkey, I was amazed at closeness of it to mine.

I have later found out the guy sells pieces from...

$89 Replica Watches,fake rolex watch,rolex replicas

The bottom one is the one I tried on and water tested..

Panerai Pam 196 Daylight Chronograph Asia Valjoux 7750 Movement-Number Marking Panerai watch

do me a favor !! what the hell do americans know about watches and class?

about bugger all. i only wear real omegas from the 70/80's and Chronograph suisse etc. I am about to sell my IWC 3717 due to a good offer and at last the Guys faking these in America have got them so good its amazing !! i believe only 2 exist in the Uk. Genuine faces and date wheels etc, the Anti reflect is better than original and the movement a work of art. so i need to test them out and see if my customers want them (£650.00)

now the chinese are banging out "tubes" as we chat,,,, you think they dont know how to make them ? !!!

lets get back to Ball !!!!!!! o' please...... i cant take it !!!!!! nothing special at all ....and Yoza i am shocked you got suckered.

yes.... my little earner this year will be on IWC 3717's that take "fakes" to a whole new dimension. you see now real watch experts are making them up using lots of real parts etc. with the profit i will import a "Grand"Seiko Spring drive divers in from Japan. having had one for a week it shows up all the mistakes Rolex make !! the seiko is far superior.

good question, i just want to own one for a year ( i still dive) and see how i get on. the s/h value will hold as they are ultra rare in the UK. i like the REAL marine masters . seiko make the most amazing watches across there range. Dont like the CREDO's style but the quality is unlike anything else around. Not into IWC anymore. hate the B&R range and all others that try this "top gun" style. i am like you..... trial and error and hope it dont cost too much !!

sorry ..not until ive bought and sold my lot ~! The only pics i have access to are on a secret web forum . lets just say it involves about 3 very very "famous" guys in the business. they are also involved in the "Viet " rolex been made. God help anyone who is not a 100% expert with this watch . The case is the first 1-1 ever made for a Submariner.

Fakes now are moving in the "frankinstein" types , these are where you will be paying top $$$ but getting something so special its untrue.

And "if " and "when" i get them they will be be "sold" to a certain few people i trust. these are not $50 ! they are seriously special. the "vietnam" rolexes are on their way , but these are again sold . the people i sell them to have their own reason for wanting them and it does include keeping them !! These will be nearly £7-800 a piece.
