Eh what...

You pass your first test in the UK and get a UK licence, hence that is yyour first entitlement, , so your probabtion period starts, 2 yearslater pass another test (say add bike to car) you do not start another probabtion period, the act (as I entered the relevant section from) is clear as day, yet numpties on here keep insisting that you do start a new probabtion and could loose your licence if you get to 6 points or more in the next two years, simply NOT TRUE, you have the stock 12 in 3 allowance (totting ban not revokation).

Directgov is also clear.

New Drivers Act

After passing your retest
It’s important to remember that passing the retest:
  • does not remove the penalty points from your driving licence
  • the penalty points remain valid
Your driving licence can only be revoked once under the provisions of the act.
