I had it done about 3 years ago,

it was £98, and that included a replacement auxillary belt as well.

Ideally they change the cambelt at the same time, as it has to come off, as my belt was only done a few months prior to the seal going, it was ok to reuse,

(it was a scooby specialist btw)

As others have said, the part is £5 its the labour that costs

I was in a Subaru dealer today and they quoted me £500 for a 120,000 mile service on my Classic including cam belt change, and an extra £120 if the tensioner needed changing.

for £540 i had cam belt and tensioner changed ,new pads and discs and new battery and small service ""

need to check out the local forums mate SMACS ,LADS .yorkshire boys CS and TTS loads of advice from the locals who will recommend the best guys and prices for the job thats the benefit in being in a Subaru local club
