it looks like you are right Maybe pushing 50%

But still, back to the mercury-death-tubes argument...

Electrickery, once created, becomes quite an efficient distribution mechanism - thus saving a few hundredths of a kilowatt per day by converting to mercury-death-tubes (or switching off your 0.4watt Sony widescreen TV instead of leaving it on standby) is going to make naff-all difference to the north-pole penguins or antarctic polar bears. But the mercury might!!!

p.p.s.

BTW, as far as i am concerned, gas, coal or koala fired power generation, or gas-fired central heating (which all creates CO2), is nowt to do with "Global Warming" - but mercury-death-tubes are going to kill people and at the same time make millions for the companies and politicians that are promoting their use!!! That is the REAL danger!!!!
