Just been on the phone to Vodafone and they will do the Samsung Omnia on a 24 month contract free with 600 mins and unlimited texts for £30 a month
Seems like a good deal to me.

went looking for a new contract phone for my wife today. If anyone is looking for a N96 then 3 are doing them on a £30 a month with 300mins or texts or £33 a month with 500mins or texts.Seems like a good deal to me.
On a side note she liked the samsung tocco, is it any good?

Just been on the phone to Vodafone after cancelling my contract with Orange and they said they can't do the deal today as their systems are down and they can't do credit checks
They didn't say that when they told me to cancel with Orange and call them back straight away to take out the contract with them !!
Why is everything so difficult these days

It'll be my turn for the "what phone do I go for?" thread next. Mine is up for renewal at the start of December (1st) and I'll be after a smartphone... so all these threads are of GREAT interest to me at the moment

I gave Orange 30 days notice of cancellation on the 19th and they said they would send the PAC code INCASE I wanted to carry my number over to Vodafone, there was no mention that I HAD to use it otherwise my account would continue with them !
Just phoned Orange and had a blazing row with them telling me I can give them 30 days notice from today if I want to ! I told them I want the 30 days to start from the 19th as per my phone conversation and was told that it can't be done.
After the woman telling me I can't had asked for the account to be cancelled I told them to listen to the phone conversation I had with them as all calls are recorded to which she replied that calls aren't recorded " we just tell you that " !!
Demanded to speak to a supervisor eventhough she kept telling me they wouldn't help me,supervisor tried telling me there's nothing that could be done so I said I would cancel the direct debit and make a complaint about him.
He said straight back to that, that my 30 days notice will run from the 19th and I will get a letter confirming that.
Do yourselves a favour and stay well clear of Orange

I just got an HTC Diamond Touch as an upgrade through Orange and changed tariff too. Same mins and msgs for £10 a month less, so now paying £25 a month on the main contract.
Went for a Blackberry on the other, and got the tariff I was on, halved in price, and all my data/push for £2.50 a month![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The Nokia 5800 will be along in a while to finally put a Nokia challenger up to the iPhone, but spec is a bit lame at the mo, so expecting the launch to be overshadowed by an N Series version at the same time.
For now though, im happy bumbling along with a Nokia 6500 classic, and a Blackberry 8320 Curve (got a Nokia 5610 in reserve if anything happens lol)
As for Orange, I been pretty happy with them for ages now. Another contract due up about now, but nothing else im interested in, and might cancel that as my sister can pay my nieces own phone bill now![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
GSMArena.com - GSM phone reviews, news, opinions, votes, manuals and more... is a great comparison site.
