Got to agree with Danny customer service in the shop is non existent shan't bother to try and give them my money in the future I would rather give it to someone else.
I am not sure if powerstation is much better after the saga with Glens battery, again its a case of we have had your money, we are not interested in any problem with a product you have purchased from us Not the way to treat anyone especially at times like this.

On a happier note Ian Litchfield was very helpful and I managed to get what I needed of him without any drama , the rest of you in the other building watch and learn

Anyway, It was nice to catch up with everyone, I nice turn out I thought and Thanks Ian for keeping us all in line,
Way to go Captain

Have to echo whats been said above, great to catch up with everybody. Enjoyed the run up and seeing everybody, just a shame about Mark and Ellis being unable to get a run. I thought the place was supposed to be japanese orientated, hence the 4wd rolling road. But no one could get on for all the BMW's and Peugeot's which are only 2wd, whats the point in that?! And trying to speak to Karl to get a price off him was a waste of time, i gave up after 20 mins without even a response. All in all a lot of disappointed people i think. Powerstation and Powersupply....must do better.

Im of a simular opinion as everyone else, enjoyed the run, including getting home even when i was being flamed by an Evo

I dont know what i was expecting of the day, but i was a little disapointed with the lack of things to do/look at. Most of the cars on the rollers were standard too so what is the point of having them in a rolling road shootout!

Good to catch up with all though

She loves the old sideways from the round about exit. Car is looking great Mr Soup, was flying too. Shame Nick's clutch was starting to slip as well, not that he could have got a run anyways i suppose.
On a better note the girls were hotter this year.

Same here. It sounds like it was badly organised. I went to a shootout there a couple of years ago and it was great. Lots of performance cars on the rollers and no 'idle' time.

I just hope the problems were a one-off and PowerStation can find a way to make it worthwhile for performance cars (their target audience?) to turn up.

Over the last couple of years we have had some real good days out at powerstation, BUT yesterday was very dissapointing,i was bored after 20 minutes, nobody was intrested in the rolling road because they took so long in setting up the dyno for the type of cars they were running(front wheel drive pugs, rear wheel drive bmw's etc) we all go there to see the subaru's and evo's which are intresting to us.
I was a annoyed that there were times when no cars were on the dyno,so i asked if i could put mine on,i was told "we can't do that it will put the mess things up" so the way i see it is,they would rather people be hanging around bored than trying to keep a little bit of intrest going.

I think powerstation will know themselves how poor the day was by seeing how early everyone was leaving.

I feel like i wasted three quarters of a tank for nothing, Next time they have an open day, i for one won't have my name down.

Good run up, got me dent fixed and a demon run back with VC.

It's 1-0 to the farmers car too!

VC knows

But, sadly, I was very disappointed. Have been a fan of PS for a while but the amount of **** Dirk smoked said it all. Karl was very difficult and awkward and to have limited stock was like running a pub without beer.

Thank you very much Taylor, im really pleased with the way she is running myself. Seeing the tail step out coming off the roundabouts was pretty cool too. Look forward to the next run

I don't think one duff rolling road day will do that

And whilst it does sound like it was largely a waste of time and fuel money for the AWD drivers, I'm sure the Pug crowd had a great time

What is surprising is it's two days on and no comment from the PS team.

I do hope PS don't go the same way some companies have, i.e. too busy with their own TA / track / drag etc projects to care about the general punter. All these places rely on word of mouth for their core revenue and a tarnished rep can really affect their bottom line.

A couple of years ago I had great service from them when they fitted Type 25 suspension to my car, and I'm sure the vast majority have had a positive experience.

Maybe it would be fairer if someone could make them aware of this thread and invite them to respond?

Perhaps Iain Litchfield moving out is more an indication on where the business was going.

Phew glad I spend the day at home now! What a shame though. I bet they actually put a hell of a lot of effort into the day regardless of how it turned out and will be disapointed to see these comments.

I had work done there on mine and it was on a SWS open day and I was happy even though it took a while. I think you have to take the day off work and face it will be a lost day with a great drive home. I think that the Scoobynet and TA cars take priority especially at shows which to be fair is how they make their development name to sell new business on. You have to take care of your bread and butter though as well. Look at Subaru!

Norty if the prices in the shop were put up!

All in all a shame. Any more pics to be seen?

Was home for a couple of days, seeems like my choice not to go was the wright one sorry to hear the brand has become bigger than the customer, again I ask why is Litchfield Imports moving to there own site
RC Developments to name but one has gone by the way side, so if you dont wish to join them, then listen to your customer base, after all we will support you if you are prepaired to support us, you have a great site it would be a shame to see it go by the wayside, so come on guys dont throw all your hard work down the drain, talk to the customer, after all they are your bread and butter. karl you offer a service, then stand up and be counted, people want to know more about the products you sell, if you can not take the time to talk to them, then please stand aside and let some one who is prepaired to..(I make this statement having had first hand experiance of your customer service) so please take this comment with the enhancement it is ment to be, and listen and learn, we want you and powerstation to succeed, but its our hard earned money so we will spend it were we want..

John

As you know I was disappointed with the day but I paid less for the stuff I bought than the sticker price which was on the item and on the website.

That being said I had to have the display one because they had no stock in the shop!

I have been a customer and had work done at PS and hope this is just a glitch. In the past the opendays have been aimed at AWD type cars and this made it easier. I think the scattergun approach of the e-mail data base may have brought in the "wrong" crowd

Although I didn't get my car on the rollers I have to agree with 555Danny as posted on the midlands section! (Shouldn't have slept in)

Given the time of year and what goes into organising these sort's of event's I think the lads at PowerStation did a great job! Many thanks to Karl, Rich, Curtis, Nick, Gerry, and Dirk (smokers unite!) for a great day!

The other suppliers that showed up as well were more than worth their while in talking to!! Invo Auto, Lico, Hankook, Performance Friction..

Just remember this cost's a lot of money to run a "free" Dyno day. And it was stated that first in first served on the rollers. I'd have loved to have seen a particular BMW run or even a Supercharged Monaro!!

I suggest you get down their earlier next time to avoid being disappointed!

And as for spending to much time on their own Time Attack / Track day warriors... I didn't see any PowerStation owned car that would suit that description! Unlike RCM / RC Dev / ZEN....

The lads were fantastic towards me and very helpful! I for one will go back for their next open day!

Well good for you,

I've been to all of the other open days and dedicated rolling road days and have to say this was the worst I've attended and from neary all of the other post most have the same opinion , we can't all be wrong?? I don't mess around and simply say things how I see them I for one will not be using any of there services again as there are plenty of other guys out there who are better and cheaper (API for one) and I'm sure quite a few of the other welsh lads feel the same.

Interesting that this is your second post and the other was along the same as this, Biggin up the day.

dont think many will be going next time plus if so many wanted a go on the rollers they should have picked so many out of a hat at every hour that way its spanned out through the day and gives everyone a chance as im sure everyone can't make it at stupid o clock in the morning

just badly organised as everyone has said a bit of common sencse would have kept people happy me thinks plus they might have lost some buisness too
