Middle manager in major IT reseller. No it sucks really, managers above are very poor and blame everyone other than themselves and some staff think they know it all. The challenges of management may be financially rewarding but not much fun. Been doing it too long 10 years plus and getting boring

i enjoy my job...and am interested in what i do...i am a BA for a FTSE 100 company, loads of projects at hand, meeting deadlines, people, ordering PM's about...!..
ok sometimes it gets to me, but that is part and parcel of any job that involves meeting deadlines and expectations.success and failure you learn, and move on...but as they say in the BA world..
A factor present in every successful project and
absent in every unsuccessful project is sufficient
attention to requirements!!
cool.....

For the most part, I hate my job. Started when I was in further education, for a bit of spending money, took on full time hours when I finished university, as a stop gap, and some 'decent' money coming in at the time, and I'm still stuck there now.
Totally my own fault, as I've lacked ambition (or rather haven't wanted work to take over) to get further on where I am, although it is difficult. Combined with not having enough confidence or knowing what direction I want to go in, to do something totally different.
As for interest, as much as I hate the role I'm in (and the wage for it), I do have a certain amount of interest in some aspects of my job.

I seriously enjoy my job most of the time. I had left the London courier industry as had had bad (management) experiences and didn't want to be someone else's a-hole BUT this opportunity to create something innovative from scratch and set up the operational side to my spec and design and to follow it through for the past 5 years has been really worthwhile. Sure I still end up working for some idiots/***** but I have some shares & share-options & I know what the potential is.
Some people out there will do very well out of my hard work, some who don't deserve to sure, but I accept that.
On the whole I absolutely love it because its new, different and I'm the one who makes it all gel.
Take that as a "yes" then

Yep, love my job - all I've ever wanted to do, all I've ever done.
Get to meet and photograph everyone from joe public, celebs, politicians, sportmen/women to Royalty. Lots of different locations, plenty of different sports events including internationals sport, and major news events/stories. No two days are the same.
Sorry..................
Having said that, there are still occasions (as any other job) when I'd wished I'd done something else, as at the time it really pi$$ed me off

Hate it, IT analysis. Dealing with offshore and onshore people who are only out to further themselves at the expensive of doing it the right way. OK the money is good but my god could it be done in a much much better way, you get what you pay for springs to mind.
Basically, turn up get paid go home not enjoying it.
Somebody earlier said that the older you get the more you realise how it all works and the more important job satisfaction becomes. Currently beginning to realise that!!
Sounds quite sad doesn't it!?!

Yes, I think...
I feel fortunate in that I have been able to move around, to re-invent myself and push myself forwards within my company over the last few years. So much that what I do now has no reflection on my first role here.
Working for one of the big consultancy companies has its benefits (only one instance of lost data so far ) I came close to the wire a couple of weeks ago but with another new role it's a set of new challenges, new people and a new customer with all sorts of interesting ideas

I really enjoy my job and have done for the 6 years in the profession i am in. I am a regional quantity surveyor for a large utitlity company. I have 3 days in the office and 2 days on site so its a good mix.
Its true that alot of people hate their jobs but only go for the pay checks.
