The fact the new V7 Sti has it, there's gotta be some benefit to it.

I've got one question though.....My Sti5 Type-r has water spray, so how will this be affected by the splitter?.... The V7 Sti also has water spray but have they changed the positioning or spray pattern of the nozzles?

Anyone know?

Cheers

Cool

With water spray........

as far as i can remember the spray on the older models came out in a horizontal semicircular pattern , to fit /use a splitter with water spray you either have to use nozzles that create a 3d bank of waterspray (so that the spray is in effect "split")or utilise additional nozzles for the rear.

On the STI7 the bonnet scoop is also larger ,and waterspray is included BUT from one central jet (mounted at the front)!
WHICH MEANS THE WATER WON'T GET TO ALL OF THE INTERCOOLER
(Unless they have changed the jet as mentioned above)

........ If splitters don't work why are subaru now using them...

If you go to the website at
http://freespace.virgin.net/michael.ferries4/splitter.htm
you will see some pictures andinfo on how they work.....
PLUS SOME OF THE STI 7 SPLITTER

For info the new style(my01+) splitter is about 2" longer than
its predessor.

(p.s. the pages will be updated within a couple of days with the pictures of My01+)
