I was going to say it should go your way.

Most of us subaru geeks on here assume that if you have a scooby you must also be a "SG" but due to the number of non-wavers about I can assure you that's not the case.

I think It's gonna be hard to prove myself, as the pics (to those in the know) clearly show the top half of an STi6 spoiler.

Something similar happened to me about 2 years ago. I saw some Ibiza posters for sale for buy it now 3 for £10. Great I thought and bought them. Only when they arrived they were actually photographs of the originals on A4 paper - seriously. I tried the dispute thing and got knowhere. The selleer got away with it as he never mentioned they were copies or originals, so had nothing to prove. It was upto me to ask if they were original - I mean come on

Job done -- technically accurate description, you get a wad of cash, punter gets a box of 50 cigarette lighters

I must admit,im a geek as far as tuning goes, not really been interested in the looks too much, just the way it goes. I have started down the looks now,as im happy with the power, untill i sort a six speed that is!

I'm not sure a six speeder would be on my list of priorities. I'd be spending on suspension and brakes, decat and remap long before a gearbox.

Look at my profile, all the bits you mention have been done, and more! Im running 330-340bhp,with the ARB,drop links, alk, esl live ecu remap,de cat, injectors, etc etc ect!!
My clutch is now slipping with the power,so as the box is coming off for this, nows the time to change it.
Im also going 18g,so box is a must!

Sorry, I must admit I didn't read that.

I ran a STi4 2.5 on track / sprints, with circa 400/400, for two years on the original box, albeit converted with a dccd transfer (which proved to be the weak point). I'm quite surprised it didn't break, and it was still on the clutch I bought from API, when I first got the car, when I sold it.

I'd be inclined to put a paddle in it and save a bit more for a ppg, but that might be overkill for what you want it to do

Yeah, ppg is the perfect option, get to keep the gears i love too,but it's soooo expensive!
I did a 2.5 on my last UK classic, killed two box's with it,i guess it's all about luck! I can't afford to mess about changing box's,so planning on doing the 6 speed for piece of mind. Looks like it'll be a new year thing, collecting bits as they come up for the right price.
Im also very keen to do it myself, only thing i havent done is map it,all helps with the cost!
I must get rid of the make it faster bug,the car was standard when i got it in December!!

In your defence, and i know NOTHING about pre 04 spoilers that looks like it should just bolt on to the boot I'm sure that i have seen spoilers like that just bolted on! Might be a best seller on ebay though.

My 2p.

For £49 I'd have been will to take a risk maybe. These things are very expensive from Subaru as they were never officially available in this country. The STI6 itself is a little rare.

Flip side is... You'd have to source the bottom parts of the spoiler and that won't leave much change from many hundreds of £s if you approach Subaru. Though the bottom part is/should-be the same as the P1's.

Still, there are firms making copies of STI5+ spoilers up and down the country. Maybe one of them could have supplied a total rip-off off the orginal bottom section.
