So much misinformation about these days.

Im interested in purchasing a pair to connect my newly purchased PS3 (and probably a sling box soon) in the lounge to my Netgear router in my upstairs office

Ideally Id like the ones that keep the plug free i.e. there is a plug socket on the faceplate as I only have two sockets serving my AV area. Can anyone recommend some or are there more problems with these types?

Cheers
Simon

These were getting good press Broadbandbuyer PASS-PL-200AV-Kit Homeplug AV Starter Kit W/ Mains Pass-Through though it seems like they've sold out for now Maybe able to get the elsewhere I guess.

You *should* be okay plugging it into an extension block as long as it's a normal one, not the type with surge protection etc. in.

I've got my PC and Xbox plugged into two seperate homeplugs on a surge protector extension cable and both work fine (I wasn't expect them to, but thought 'what the hell' and tried it!)
