Bradford really is getting a hell hole..

I went there a few weeks ago in a classic 911,and the amount of times that i got cut up,tailed and blasted past by 4ft 3" cap wearers was incredible. This was in the day too..

Its like a 3rd world country with roads, and what is that smell that permiates the air 24/7 ??

They fit a big exhaust etc and then think they have a high performance motor.

What is it with them?

They try and race you cos they have their mates or girl friend in their cars but dont stand a chance.

Ive got nothing to prove and dont want to risk my car, my licence and other road users and use my fuel to race ***** like that.

What i dont understand is they know how fast subarus are and they dont in most cases stand a chance, SO WHY OH WHY do they think they stand a chance.

makes me laugh.

What my missus loves about subarus is they dont have anything to prove.

If they want to risk everything including their lives, Just let them get on with it. We dont need to race them or prove anything.
i think alot of it is they just want to see the car go cos they know there quick i know if im in my little fiesta (1.8d power lol) from work and im behind a ferrari im willing the car infront of him to move over so i can see and hear him give it some not disputing the amount of idiots but think alot of it is boys and there toys. i remember being at a set of lights when i first started driving and waving to a subaru to give it some so i could see him take off etc

it was a sh1tty golf so not worth the fuel or license !!!!

i cant be bothered any more...

I find driving at 20mph in a 30 really upsets them....

Especially in my village... I find I take ages to complete a right hand manover if someone comes blasting through at 40+ and is on my chuff..

yes they atract plonkers im one.

as for dic*s trying to race with sillt little cars !

it was a quiet sunday morning and i was on my way to play football, when i was at a set of lights and a brand new corsa pulled up along side me, complete with v young boy and girl sound system blairing. he decided he wanted to race, so when the lights turned green he wheel span away me setting of in my normal not in a hurry fashion. he be gan to race himself trying to impress his bird. ""sorry this is so long but its worth it"" so i followed him for about a mile, he then came to a round about not to fast but to fast for him, and he rolled the car twice and ended up on its roof
i pullen up and had to open the boot for him and his impressed ex girl friend. as the doors would not open.
they were both fine not a scratch on em.
after i helped them out and said that will teach you "" him crying my mum will kill me as he was just lending it""
i got back into my car and made my way to footy, and to top it all off i scorred a goal

befor blokes say i am a boy racer, i have never had an accident and have a clean licence.and have nothing to prove to a corsa.
had he have been in a sports car costing lots more than mine i have no dought i would have raced him and it would have probably been me that ended up on the roof climing out the boot
thats my 10p worth hope to see you at the lights one day

All well and good, but had a witness to the accident claimed that you'd been racing (and it's easy to mis-infer that when you have a car as lary as a Subaru) and anyone had been hurt in the accident, you'd have been looking at a driving ban and time in the slammer!

This is why you have to be so careful. You may end up paying for someone else's bad judgement!

Just wondered where in his post he said he raced the car. From what I read, he merely followed the car while it raced itself i.e. the young lad in the Corsa decided to test his limits and failed...

Not nit picking, but I can't see the evidence the poster admitted to racing.

I think NS04 was trying to say, was that the wonderful stereotypical image the imreza has on joe public...a witness may have interpreted a race (even though there was none) and thus resulting in said unwarrantied ban/points to Mrs Scooby due to no fault of his own.

people up my a** really gets on my ****! The other night I noticed a lad in a P reg Laguna or something scream right up my rear end, on a main road heading into WSM. he pulled out several times to try and overtake me but couldn;t because of the oncoming traffic

we get onto the dual carriageway he has pulled into the outside lane to overtake me but got stuck behind a couple of cars, I pull out give it some gas get up to speed limit and settle down, cross the next roundabout and hes back up my a** again, I slow down a bit (on purpose ) he pulls into the inside lane and trys to creep past me that way, so just to really p*ss him off I match his speed and he gets trapped behind a car

he looked really mad when we got to the lights!!!

Andy,

Scooby L has said it: people sometimes mis-infer that a driver of a performance car is racing, as the way they look at it: One Corsa wheelspins, guy is in a performance car behind him, ergo they must be racing, even if the poor Scooby driver was just letting him get on with it! Scoobies are quite loud and even when pottling afterall.

"alsoso i followed him for about a mile, he then came to a round about not to fast but to fast for him, and he rolled the car twice and ended up on its roof"

It does sound like he was close enough for the Corsa driver to feel compelled to take a roundabout sufficiently fast to roll the car twice? That's not just a bit too fast on the Corsa's part, it's way too fast!

I'm not suggesting the poster was putting the corsa under the squeeze, but that is the way they have made it sound. Perhaps the poster could clarify?

hi poster hear

i was doing no more that 40mph and he wasnt going much faster. he simply missed judged the round about. his car fish tail'ed one way then fliped the other. it was well funny pulling him and his bird out the boot.
i was not racing i was a good 50meters back. if i was i would have been in front "i drive a WR1" i was simply following him.
as for the bloke posting his advice im sure he hasnt EVA gone that little bit faster cause there is another car pussing him on. as has all of us thats why we bought the scooby in the first place, if not you should stop being a gay and sell up, part ex for a toyota prius

looking 4wad to all the posts and pm's ref the above every1 is an individual and has an opinion and thats mine

i am well aware my posts make me sound a complete **** but im a really nice guy "so my mum says", but this is the internet and i can say stuff without getting beat up but if any of you want to take it further im a bare nuckel fighter unbeaten in over 100 fights

Acutally, after reading the drivvel the same poster has just tried to enforce upon us, I totally retract my differing opinion above and 100% agree with you NS04. The guys done himself no favours with the usual internet warrior "bare knuckle fighter stuff" - whether it's true or not.
