Well if the wait is 7 months, you would be saving £430ish per month over the seven months if you bought via Europe.

Very true! A lot of money when you think about it like that...

Still haven't heard from the garage yet though!

Question

Anyone got a clue as to where the best place for performance upgrades for the new civic typr r? and have you tried any yet? Sorry to detour the thread but you may like the answers too, hopefully. You know - too boost the torque a lot and bhp a bit or alot too.

Pop on an induction kit!!!

Some of the Honda R forum have rolling roaded the cars with a Blitz kit and gained 17bhp (16 at the wheels) and around 5-10 lbft torque.

The actual pre and post kit figures were around:

bhp at flywheel (calculated): pre:203 post:222
bhp at wheels: pre:170 post: 186.

It would seem the official 197bhp is conservative.

Some tuners are starting to work on exhausts. i know Spoon have already released a manifold and muffler kit but it retails on the cool side of a grand. The Blitz induction kit isn't great for filtration so I'd wait for an Apexi.

There was an add in Evo this month by ABP (?) with a few CTR bits.

Bash,
Go to this link http://uk.photos.yahoo.com/scottchuk and then click on Honda Civic, you will see some evidence that a 22bhp power increase through an induction kit is possible.
Also check this thread out on the Honda bbs

It's taken me 45mins to find that bloody link!, don't you hate it when you forget to bookmark good links.
