ohhh mate... sorry to hear that. we lossed our dog up in this big forest above my mums when i was a loon. a forestry commision (enterprise) guy picked her up and took her home, some how we found out, or he found out and we got her home, but a horrible feeling when she was missing.
hope she turns up soon, and keep making it well known locally. bug the hell out of everyone, what ever it takes mate! let us all know please

Ive been hoping every time I opened this thread to see that she had been found. I was so happy to see your post, DD
I was so afraid that something might have been done to her by your neighbours you mentioned - I'm glad she has safely had her litter, and is now back home, in the dry and warm where she can look after her brood AND be looked after herself.....
9 healthy pups, what a clever girl she is

After a fruitless afternoon spent lying in mud trying to coax her out again, I was set to give up for the day and returned to the house.
Surprisingly, she turned up at the door a few minutes later, so I shut her inside and dashed back to the hole with my improvised puppy-catcher - A garden hoe with some cloth wrapped round the end. I scooped the little ones out of their den and brought them into the house, where she lifted them out the box and into the nestbox I made for her.
All seem settled and happy enough.
The photos I took arent the best quality, as she is a little nervous about me handling them, so I just left her in peace.
There are 9 pups, a mix of black-and-white and black-and-tan.

With so many sad or depressing stories in the press recently is so lovely to hear something nice.
Wish I lived in France so I could give a couple of pups a home. We only ever get rescue / abandoned / Heinz 57 dogs, never get them from a breeder.
My wifes just seen this and has gone all gooey over them!
Hears hoping for long happy lives for 9 pups and their mum.

What a great story with such a happy ending, David you have done your dog proud and likewise mum has done her pups proud.
You will have to put some individual pics up of the pups and get the forum users to put some names forward.
