Tein Super Street Just Purchased

I was down on the Island in the summer, rough old crossing & the spray covered the car, salt water all over it, rained the whole 3 days, used the sat nav for 'Quickest route' from fishbourne to Sandown, oh dear, some of the roads I went down were like single track rally stages Great if your on your own, not when you've got your missus as the co driver.
So i know what you mean about your car getting dirty quick. Just wondered Mystic, are there any Shell or Tesco 99 pumps on the island, I struggled to find any & was panicking a bit as mine runs on 99 + octane booster. Had to wait till I got back to Portsmouth to fill up ( running on fumes by that time)

Yes its great for pretending your Burns or Mccrae
No they stopped supplying SUL direct to IOW, the BP depot doesnt do it any more.
We have to get a special tanker over every week or two to supply the 2 places on the IOW with SUL. Sadly its mega over priced (118.9p) and only ****ty Texaco 97 RON crap.
My car is also mapped for 99/100

This has been a good read, I've been thinking about getting Teins as the suspension on my car is horrible! It's rock solid, and I mean ROCK SOLID! It's got GAB shocks that came on it from Japan and every bump is like gettin a kick in the butt! I still want something firm but just not solid, I want something that soaks up bumps, not something that bounces you off them! It's hellish if I hit a bump mid corner at any sort of speed I've just got to pray I'll stay on the road!

Well people, after a couple of weeks of having the Teins I thought I'd post up my overall views so far. I must state that I am by no means a professional driver, race driver or expert on suspension, just your average driver who likes the odd spirited jaunt.So....
1st of all I'd like to say that I've found the Teins are generally a harder set up than the standard STi shocks, that is not to say it's a bad thing, it's by no means too harsh & on smoother roads it's fantastic, cornering seems much flatter, turn in seems sharper & the back end doesn't seem to feel as light as it did before when pushing it. I have noticed that I have to slow down that much more for certain speed bumps, the ones I have at work are particularly fierce & need to be taken real slow.
As for bad surfaced twisties, certain dips do seem to affect the cars poise a little more than they did but I think that's a general trait of any harder suspension set up( I would have thought) & this will just take a little getting used to. It's by no means Trashy so to speak.
Finally it's so lovely & quiet , no knocking or creaks & I think it looks great aswell, slightly more aggressive & level ( before the front of my car seemed to sit much higher than the rear) so all in all I'm pleased & I guess thats the main thing for me. Cheers

Hotpants, try adjusting the damper force, if you have EDFC 12 front (4 clicks from softest), 14 (2 clicks from softest) rear is a nice compromise if the roads are bad.
You really don't need to crank them up for everyday use. 11(f) and 13 (r) is about as firm as I go.
