Just got back, having lost contact with everyone, and having no phone signal out in the middle of nowhere.
Fantastic run, nice pace all the way to Settle, met up with the SMACS and popped up to Tan Hill, then some stunning roads back up to Buttertubs, got split up, but had a brief chat with a group from LADS up the top (Small world)
Pic of the day?
Well.... you know the little hump-back bridge just before Tan Hill...
Ouch!

Top day. great roads, good pics can't wait to se the rest even if they are abit tame compaired to flight lutenant blue scooby classic.
Bigarf hope the big bang was just a back fire and nothing terminal with the engine, hope you all got back ok.
PS my pass on the hump back bridge was about 8" in the air and it banged down hard, so 4 foot in the air, that a crash landing. ouch!!!

Spoke to Frosty briefly last night, and he explained what had happened with Arf's engine. I felt a right pillock. Having been split up from you guys I waited for 10 mins or so with the camera up the top of Buttertubs, and when there was no sign I presumed that you'd headed off for the nearest Shell station to fill up, as I knew Arf was running low. There was bugger all signal on my phone, and so knowing that the SMACS lot had headed for Hawes I made my way there. By the time I got there they'd moved on. Kept trying you lot all the time, but didn't get anything like a decent signal until I got to Ilkley, when I got a VM from Chris.
Sounds like you had a long afternoon, but at least the ladies enjoyed it, eh?
Anyways, I got some cracking pics of mine, I'll post 'em up when I get a minute.

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
Twas a mixture of extreme fun, extreme elevation, and extreme despair.
Hope you get it sort Arf, and I was happy to use "Frosty-Nav" for my way home... shame his clutch was dead, as we could have rubbish'd a certain Porsche/350Z (it was dark !) on the way home....
DunxC
P.S. I signed up for AA cover this morning, with my luck this year !
P.P.S. Anyone else think that Muker is like Royston Vassey ?
