I forgot to ask the most salient question: is it a purely analogue mechanical (rather than electro-mechanical) gauge i.e. receives its boost signal by way of purely narrow vac hose, WITHOUT any electronics converting the signal digitally?
It is electronic and can only be fitted in conjunction with the SE boost controller (£150) as an add on. The boost controller provides very accurate boost control and has already made significant improvements on several Apexi Power FC installations that we have fitted recently.

Default Great service from Harvey and Darren

A week ago I had a Hybrid FMIC and other bits fitted by Harvey and Darren, and here's a hearty recommendation for anyone considering the same.

Whilst the jobs were being done we (my partner and I) had legendary hospitality from Harvey and Dawn. Many thanks for that

The FMIC fitting went absolutely to plan, very neatly done and great value. Charge temperatures are now round-about ambient which, as anyone with a charge temperature gauge on a classic will know, is a fundamental improvement over the topmount. Re-mapping is yet to be done but there's no noticeable lag, perhaps due to the other modification done at the same time.

That other mod is one that Harvey is perhaps best known for: ported/wrapped headers. These have had a great effect on low/mid urge, with the engine feeling more willing, smoother, and slightly quieter. Feels like a different engine, and longer term I reckon it'll make it easier to live with - it just feels a lot nicer when you're driving around off boost. Again, highly recommended

Andy

ps. get your orders in before the lousy exchange rate forces prices up!

Wayne, I have intercooler kits in stock ready to send out but as to what you should be doing with your car, I do not know. It obviously depends on what you want to achieve and on what you have already done.
I need more information and suggest you email me harveysmith1@btopenworld.com Let me know where you are at now and where you want to end up.
Normally the first mod on these cars is a good exhaust with a 3" open neck downpipe and no cats. This is usually done at the same time as fitting a fuel pump (£75) and the next mod would be ported headers and matched uppipe. After that you might want to increase boost slightly and look at a front mount or you may want to go for a mappable ECU.
Let me know what you want to achieve by email and I will see what I can do to help you.

FMIC kit is £350. Fitting £180. Add £40 for powder coating. This assumes you already have some sort of cone filter system. If you want to reuse your flange mounted BOV already on your TMIC add £22.50 or bring your own BOV or I can supply you a new Forge, for instance, £100.
