The company should have a copy of their public liability certificate on view. Speak to the council, explain the situation, see if they have visited the site recently to check for such things.
Make sure the driver doesnt get released on bail either, or they'll never see him again.
Best of luck.

I quite agree with you P1 JUNKIE.
I feel the same, im sick of our soft goverment letting these people in.
My partners son found it very hard to get a job because all the jobs for a 17 year old lad have been takin due to immigrants.
If you go into the city where i live, its spot the white man.
It makes me sick.

Not all of them are bad...I worked for Parceline (wooo! lol
)when i was 19, and we had a group of different foreigners every 5 months come over and help us with the night shifts, hardest bloody workers ive met in that industry, lol. Lovely bunch of lads always aswell, keen to learn, and better our language, very hard working, some of them even came out clubbing with us regularly, and even to the pub for a pint in the weekdays. some still stay in contact with us. Some of their stories were sad but most were ok and just honestly sending money back to their families. learnt some great swear words in polish ![Thumb](images/smilies/thumb.gif)
I also worked for a few years for an agricultural contractor (posh term for farrrrrmer
lol) and i remember once going to a farm in northampton for a job and the farmer had 8 foreigners working for him, from as early as 3am in the morning all the way till 1am the next morning, their quarters was just a quarter of the barn with a few matresses and two meals a day. they worked everyday, i think one or two off a month, and i wont even say how much they were getting paid cuz it wasnt an awful lot.
I have a very good friendship with the local kebab owners here aswell and they socialise with us on the regular, very good friends. Not all are bad, dont get me wrong i have met some complete fools in my time and benefit cheats but the minority of them are decent people
all i can say is that my early family were immigrants once when they came to this country! Im sure the arguements were the same back then, and now its all sorted...well mostly!

yes he would of been released after one night (or whenever depending what time of day he was arrested) cps are tricky though as their tight when it comes to bringing things to court, yet when we go over the speed limit or whatever were bang straight in there!
I suspect the guy will of probably dissapeared by now but im sure you can sue the landowner? as it said in the post up there, get him done for all its worth, immigrant service/customs whatever. And try and get ur money back honestly good luck

I am sorry to hear about your car but why leave it with people you dont know it dosnt matter where they are from if they have your keys they will try out your car they could even get a key cut and steal it at some othertime.
I hope other members dont do anything this silly
I hope other members dont do anything this silly
They also have to re-code the chip within the key itself to start the engine (OE immobilser), and also replicate the remote to deactivate the alarm.
So the only method of stealing would be by pushing/towing. Which is easily answered by using a disklock (and not giving the valeter the key to it), which any Impreza owner would be silly not having anyway (in my opinion).
Car is repairable. But insurance-wise, the cost of doing so may write it off, it mainly depends on if the cam pulleys have been damaged on the engine (I think they would have been).

time to get tough in this country coz if we dont theres trouble coming our way
if u want to come here apply for you visa and do it legally everyone else f--k off

I have no idea, and neither do you.
Actually, I DO have an idea by the fact that the police let him go. No doubt they'd have probably checked with the BIA (or whatever they call themselves nowadays
) before releasing him, if he was an illegal, they wouldn't have.
I agree that the govt. should clamp down on illegals, but that's another thread entirely.
Be honest, a foreign national was mentioned and that's all you needed to have your little rant. c'mon, be honest now.

As seeing though that he has done a crime, if they have released him on delayed charged bail pending further enquiries, then he can be let go, but obviously not go anywhere. wether he does a runner now who knows? If he's denied it hell still be released, unless theres independent witnesses. But either way for a crime like that, they wont keep him in. Its completely upto the CPS now wether he gets remanded or not, thats if they decide to bring it to court? This country is shocking when it comes to the legal system. recently (not going too much into it) a guy attacked someone with a hammer, causing her to go to hospital for a broken shoulder blade, he was kept in over night, and released the next day on police bail. if he returned near her place of address, theyd arrest him, and release again, until CPS bring him to court. he should of been remanded in custody until a court date, time in prison would of taught the ****! but its ridiculous. he could be released again and go and kill someone and its not like u can say to the police "told you so" as they cant keep him in! its useless

That's a relief in a lot of ways; tho would have liked the chance to speak to owner myself and hear what he had to say
![Ponder2](images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
Still in 2 minds whether I should talk to local press to see if they will do story to warn other unsuspecting car owners and maybe damage his business a bit in the process

I still think we should get "crewed up"
and turn up at their site. About 20 imprezas roaring and dumping on their forecourt packed full of the 20 scariest looking members we have. Watch them instantly soil their pants and learn not to mess with the scooby brotherhood

ESC could organise a 'cruise' to Waltham Abbey parking up at the local car wash emporium - I could bring a few flasks of tea and some bags of doughnuts from Tesco's.................great day out
