Yes it does work that way!

You and I really do have the power to either let things offend us or not. Minorities are typically the butt of jokes everywhere, be they black, brown, ginger or disabled. Getting irritated about it and trying to ban everything isn't going to change the mindset of the joke teller - perhaps the exact reverse in fact. There are far more intelligent and effective ways to go about that particular endeavour.

It's all a bit insignificant, skin colour is the least of anyones problems, same with nationality and religion.
Skin colour is a very shallow layer like the paint on a car.
Nationality is just a fact of where you're born.
Religion is just a choice, thought or belief.

I don't know why so many people jump on the various band wagons either side, if you have a joke tell it, if you find it funny laugh.
If you feel you might offend someone just give a warning.
If you feel like someone is dishing out some hate ask if thats what they really think, before you assume.

How many of you are more concerned about where your next cigarette, pint of lager, big mac, bag of chips or whatever comes from rather than what someone of a different colour thinks of you.
