I aint gonna cry about it or even infract...infact actually apart from what ive just seen, thats the first bit of race jokes ive heard in a long time, funny those idiots at school wouldnt dare say it to me now.... yeah we all have a laugh....i bloody loved it when lewis won the other day, i went straight onto facebook and changed my status for the day, which read "car insurance= £1000+.......new turbo and engine= £1000+...... lewis hamilton winning and shutting up them booing racists....priceless!!"
that bank note joke was no different than someone taking the **** out of how an asian person looks, you basically done nothing else apart from highlighting a general stereotype! Why didnt u follow on by posting a pic of a nicked car being driven away with police in persuit, said car being drove by a black man, or an old granny waving her fist in the air after the hooded black guy running off with her purse?
senseless! if any of u said a "joke" like that to me in person wether ur sense of humour allows it or not, id of took personal offence and most probably smacked u in the gob, as i have done with some idiots.

To be fair, most of the comments on this thread, seem to be meant in a light hearted manner, a joke, possibly bad taste to some, but a joke all the same, rather than racist, nasty comments. I am far from racist, and have defended races/religions before many times just on threads on here. Yet I can tell the difference between offence, and attempts at jokes.
After all, many people had a problem with the 'humour' of Brand and Ross, yet you were quick to defend that, with some choice comments coming through from yourself. Most people probably brushed them off, but I would certainly say some of your 'jokes' or whatever, offended, regardless of your intention. Everybody's humour is different, and at times can be difficult to understand by others, but when we defend the right to have a laugh, we need to accept what is funny to one is not to another, but not take offence, just get on, unless of course it is completely out of order. Then speak out by all means, but keep in mind what we personally think is acceptable that others won't.

I don't think it's acceptable to make jokes at the expense of people based on their race, doing so IS RACIST, FULL STOP no matter whether people find them funny or not.

The russel brand thing i found funny but no way would i ever go to any of the girls I have bedded's grandfathers and say anything like what they said, thats just out of respect....but to say it publically, lol they do deserve to be punished quite rightly, funny but again, something which belongs within four walls to urself or someone else like minded, not publically!

Things such as laws are based upon what the vast majority deem acceptable, or unacceptable in their opinion. With that in mind it seems your opinion doesn't count for much on here.

There is nothing racist in this thread. Racism would be saying Obama should not be president because of his colour or that he is a 2nd lass citizen because of his colour. Taking the pee over a feature of his appearance is not racist, it is politically incorrect just the same as taking the pee out of anyone for any aspect of their appearance. Yes it is still offensive to some but that doesn't mean it's racist. Yes he is of mixed race and the dollar bill note is making a joke of his colour but it is not saying anything about him not being fit to be president because of his colour or that he is anyway seen in a negative light because of his colour.
Wanting to harm or kill someone because of their colour is racist just as it is treating someone different due to their colour is racist. Are you suggesting the people on here who have made the jokes you say are racist are the same as you are either racist or you are not?
For those who believe it's racist try reporting this thread to the police and see how far you get. As it is an arrestable offence to be racist to another person then you must feel the posters in this thread who you feel are being racist should be subject to the law? No? You haven't read what i've said. I didn't deny they were offensive to some, but they are not racist comments. You can be offensive without being racist. They are what would now be deemed as politically incorrect comments because they take the pee out of someone's appearance.

And no one can have issue with that as that is very different to someone being racist. Someone offending you with politically incorrect jokes is not illegal, someone being racist is. A very big difference. And as for the infractions, which I hate generally, no one can say the ones given for insulting behaviour can/should be reversed as they are insulting so have to stand. However the infraction given for racist comments should not stand as they were not racist.

Singling out people and making mocking remarks about their appearance does cause offence and its one of those things that you probably just don't understand because you haven't experienced it.
Saying that though, I doubt you hold racist views, more that you are conditioned to believe that it's OK because you saw similar things on TV 20 years ago.

bravo, im now aware this isnt sinking in is it. You obviously think i go around beating people up. If someone came to me in the street and called me a N*gger, id feel no problem in punching his lights out. He's came to my personal space, and called me that nasty word. If i see some bloke beating his missus, id feel inclined to step in and see how he likes it, if my little sister rang me up crying that some bloke went a little bit far with her against her will, then id do time. If i ever catch a dirty pervert perving over my now 4 month old daughter when shes a little bit older, id do time. Theres a difference, violence isnt the answer but some people just need a good kick in sometimes.
