is there any need for that tony? ok 2 black people have now said on the thread that theyve found certain comments offensive, and you yawn like its nothing? Your seriously sad. I take it your white, and would absolutely love it if you had a little son, or daughter to experience a primary school, which is predominatly black....the other way round. Them being the only caucasian in the class, and let the jokes roll, coming home balling their eyes out every other day with a new name of what theyve been called.... having to have teachers phone you up to pick them up as theyve had enough of bullying in class... having to listen to their heartache after theyve had to be sat on their own at lunchtime in a room away from the bullies because thats the "best" the teachers can do?? Its not nice and im damn sure you wouldnt yawn if they came home telling you such things, its really not nice, parent or in my case being that child once. Yeah it all changes in secondary school but primary sticks with you....for one day id love for you to be black and have the **** iv had to put up with in the past, and then come back on here and....yawn

The only sad person on this thread is the person who perpetuates this myth that there are tons of people on this forum who actually give a ****. The reality is that most people on here are quite sensitive to racist issues and abide by a common decency code. However where we may get upset is when something which is quite clearly a joke is shoved down our throats by jumped up , self opiniated people like yourself, who feel it is righteous to start a crusade to rid these forums of bigoted comments and posters.

There will always be an element of 'close to the edge' posting on here, due to mainly the diversity of the members and the quicker you realise that fact and dont get so upset and on your high horse about such matters, the better.

I do hope your not tarring us "white folks" with the same brush there? My daughters go to a primary school, years 1 and 5. Both have one black kid in each their classes, and they're the only black children in a school of approx 300 kids. Both are treated the same as the rest of the kids, the school sets out rules, regardless of skin colour, and the pupils AND parents are expected to abide by them. In our school, there is not a problem, proving it can be handled correctly.

If, and I say IF, your child is being segregated at school, can I suggest as a parent you get yourself down there again, I'm assuming you've already been to see the head, and demand some action? Maybe spend less time on here insinuating people who you don't know are racist, and actually try and help your child overcome it?

When i was in secondary skool i was brought up short / almost detained for caling a black colleague ******, It sort of fell out of my mouth and i was perplexed/felt guilty as hell at the time - but even then 1978 ?? i think he was over-reacting ,or indeed i needed educating .

Im now with a black gfriend ,actually more brown (several countries from niger area ! ). , we step into a shoe shop the other day and try several pairs - we opt for the cheaper suede version cos the dear(er) full leather ones aint long enuff ,. Anyway she states to the shop keeper , were going for the rubbish ones .!
I know what she ment cos its just the parlence - but the shop keeper was at pains to point out they were a good make and didnt say good bye
