lol you don't need to keep quiet..
tbh I would ring or email scoobyworld as there exhausts are well priced and they deal with this everyday..
from memory you have a cat in the uppipe, a cat in the downpipe and a cat in the link pipe.. you then have a resonator in the centre section and then the backbox.. a cat back system will just be centre and backbox and no cat is removed.. you will still see more power.. arounf 15bhp.. more if mapped for the exhaust..

As JGM said on a WRX you have 3 cats, one in the up pipe 1 in the down pipe and one in the center. A cat back system will be from the down pipe back so two of the 3 cats remain. When TSL did some work on my wrx a few years back I threw them all in the bin and went de-cat route
but that can be a problem come Mot time although it was no problem for me as it was a new car hence no MOT reqd for 3 years
The center section pipes are different lengths on a JDM wrx to a UK so be sure you get the right one. If is just some scooby noise your after then just change the back box, an afterburner vortex will give you some volume and is an easy swap BUT BE AWARE a lot of loud exhausts drone like hell on the motorway which can be a pain in the ar$e at times.Exhausts are a very personal thing best to get to a meet I think between us all we should be able to cover most of the options
Have a look here.
Impreza Turbo 2001-2005 New Age :
You can usually find something in the add's on here so once you know where your going have a look for a bargain
Anything made by Hayward and Scott is good quality so no issues there.
Plan ahead, what do you want out of the car?We are all here to help you get it right first time hopefully
