I agree with you....... i do not think anyone with a sound mind would find her actual life even remotely funny.... but jokes always appear, some awful, but on face value some can be funny

If you folks had really been to the Anne Frank house i doubt you'd post the above.

No spoilers, just read it. Always go to her house when i'm in Amsterdam, some things should never be forgotten.

I cant believe it took so long to find her, there are signs all over amsterdam and even a plaque on the front door highlighting her whereabouts!!!!

We passed on that particular tourist attraction and got completely monged in the grasshopper instead (which i belive also has some historic leanings)

I have read the diary of anne frank, I found it sad, I think her age had something to do with that aswell, after seeing this thread about it I might start reading it again. Ive also got a book about Auschwitz and the book of the bbc tv series that was about Auschwitz.
When we were based in Germany with the army we went to Bergen Belsen it was awful, seeing all the mass graves etc, I seen where Anne Frank's grave is and went into the condolence building and wrote in the little book. It's quite surreal when you go as it is just off the main road and next to Hohne camp but when you walk through into Bergen Belsen it is so peaceful you would think it's in the middle of nowhere.

I think some of the comments on this thread are slightly selfish and below the belt, god know how some of you's would have coped.
My granda was taken prisoner by the japanese in ww2, he survived but it was not a pleasant experience to have with you.
