Another weird thing about breeders is that they insist that you don't breed from the cats they sell you. They actually withhold the papers until you prove you've had your cat neutered / spayed! Not interested in breeding at all, but it does all strike me as a very weird world.

Wife liked the look of Birmans:

^^^^ just making sure that you dont start making money via breeding from the cats/pedigree that they breed, that way they keep hold of the local cat market

go and give a cat a home that needs one

our cat, Ian, was a rescue kitten. superbly run places and like a few have mentioned already the cats come all sorted so you're off and running.

my sister paid about £500 for a certain breed from some flash arsed breeder, nice enough friendly cat but it's a schitzo, just flips into nutter mode for no reason

unlike Ian that is soppy as ****, lets you do anything. bit like this

or snoop catty cat as he's now known

yep, sad cat owner that takes sad pics of his cat. guilty as charged

I love Ian!

Rosie is a pedigree (Cornish Rex) as was her predecessor (Prussia) who lived to 18 (Rosie is from the same breeder). I love Cornish Rexes for their nature, their personality, the way they stay kitten-like into old age, so I would always have one. And they're right oiks!

However, I love normal ones as well, and when we had Prussia we also had a lovely black and white moggy. We always intended to get another moggy when we bought Rosie, but due to circumstances at the time it didn't happen.

Here's Rosie's official 3rd birthday photo........

Getting bored now.........

You can do anything with her. She plays 'fetch' with her toy mice, and if you've seen the Ninja Cat clip on Youtube, she does that. We have to play hide and seek and when she's being silly, she lays on the top stair and then slides down on her side like a furry ginger slinky!

We have had 3 rescue cats now over a period of time. You can go and make your choice at some place like the RSPCA and although they all seemed to have read the book on how to persuade you to take them home, we have always wound up with lovely cats with great personalities.

Seems pointless to try to buy one from a breeder to me.

Never mind.

I have some live footage of her on my phone. I'll have to see if I can get some of her playing fetch then I'll whack it into Photobucket.
