Does anyone know why the parents and the baby have not been identified?

The whole account makes me sick to my stomach, being a father myself (2 year old) i cannot comprehend what these people were doing.

I was so angry watching the news last night, especially seeing that bloody Shoesmith woman saying nobody should be sacked. If i saw her in the street i would have no hesitation to knock her teeth out!

Just makes me wish there was something I could do to stop this happening

To state the obvious it seems that no one made made a decision that said "OK, enough is enough, get that kid out of there". This despite everything that was known.

May be the first basic step is to have one person (and perhaps an emergency deputy) identified who can do this. Anyone on the team who is concerned should be obliged to contact this nominated authority who then has to take, and record, a decision based on the evidence and their judgement. An unenviable task but necessary as this awful tragedy has shown.

I am sure, in theory, this is what is supposed to happen but perhaps all the agencies/parties involved muddied the waters?
