Local resident scheme looks good for heavy users of the crossing.

Local residents scheme

For an annual registration fee of £10, this scheme entitles local car drivers to a significant discount:
  • 50 free journeys per year, thereafter…
  • 20 pence charge only, for any additional journeys in the same year
yep Deb has this and i'm going to register the scoob

Get yourself a free dart-tag and the cost remains £1.00

Alex,

you have to have a direct debit set up and money in the account for using the crossing, deb sometimes has top top up the account after it warns you at the toll booth that credit is low.

Yes you have to have money in the account upm front, but you don't have to use the Direct debt function.
I turned that off and just manually add funds as needed, but you do save 50p every crossing now...
The warning level at the tolls is manually set to what you want, gives a 'LOW FUNDS' message as you go through
