Had my 04STI mapped a couple of weeks ago by Paul at Zen. Made 351bhp and 320lbs. Can't fault the map at all, well chuffed with the end result and as always Paul wouldn't let me have the car back until he was 100% happy with the end result. Thanks again to all at Zen.

I am disappointed with my torque figures after 2 remaps on my uk sti my05. Car has a Prodrive downpipe, Prodrive backbox and a decat centre section, as well as a freeflowing panel filter and Walbro fuel pump. The car in unexciting to drive with no real sense of mid range rush that I'm used to with previously owned Impreza's.
It is now 305 lbs, which I feel is very low, considering some cars on here have the same mods as mine and make a minimum of 330 lbs after mapping.
Does the torque figure seem below avarage? Considering that so many people on here slate PPP, they can't be doing a bad job if their torque figures are very close to 300 lbs, plus PPP retains the restrictive Subaru centre section and is an 'off-the-shelf' package, so a bespoke individual remap should surely make at least 20 lbs of torque more than say a PPP package.
Unless my car has an undiagnosed problem, which I would have expected reputable Subaru specialists to have noticed.
I would welcome all your opinions and experiences please, maybe starting with do you feel that 305 lbs of torque is very low for my car with its exhaust and filter?
Thanks!

it had similar mods as yours and had been mapped by bob rawle but still wasn't that quick in my opinion.i really believe they are over rated straight line speed anyway.don't get me wrong i loved the car but for me it wasn't that much faster than the hot hatch brigade.
at the min i have a wee sti ra with a few mods and while i can't compare the two as an overall package it is without doubt a faster car and at times can be a handful which is something the my 05 never was

As of Febuary (if my memory is correct) this year the TSL333, well all TSL mapping is done by me... and I can say that on the road dyno software used to check once mapped that usually the lb is close to the 330lb mark, but I doubt any of those had the ppp downpipe.. will check.
I will check through the plots I have on the laptop.

I might as well chime in with my opinion. Exact same car as you mate. When mine was RR on dastek rollers it ran 315bhp, but only 270lbft, although the 1st run showed it getting on for 300lbft, but the next 3 runs showed it at the lower figure. I then changed the panel filter, put the pfr7b? plugs in and Andy F remapped it. The two way average using delta dash is it? Showed 340bhp and around 330lbft, and it goes so much harder imo. I know a friend with again the same car seen 315bhp and nigh on 300lbft from his standard ppp machine.
I don't know what you're use too with previous versions, but lacking in midrange is the last thing i'd say about my car.
Hope you get sorted.

Is your neutral position switch OK?
I had a decat 2.5, ported headers, filter and remap and only made 290lb. That was because the above switch was knackered.
