A Plaque has been placed.
Pictures of it are in today's press.
I am a father of a 7month old baby boy and this story has broken my heart.
Donation to charity is my next course of action with a monthly DD

A few people here saying that would rather give money to child related charities than lay flowers. Can we use the word WILL instead of would? I'm about to.
I share Sara's sentiments though. Somehow it seems to show more of a mark of respect/sympathy/empathy to do something more personal.
On another note, I do feel that these murderers can be rehabilitated and integrated back into society. Just tell me where and when.

You could both - charity donations & flowers.
I've been donating to save the children for around 12 years now, started as one of those £2/month direct debits - but increased it to around £12/mo about 10 years ago. It starts at £2.00 but I think you can give whatever you want/can afford/won't miss monthly.
If only the NSPCC had a connection with a firm/florist/interflora that involved a profit share (ie cost price & split the profits 50/50 or better - with the charity) for people that want to lay a personal tribute.
Thinking this through, are there any florists on SNET who would consider this and could show the initiative to contact NSPCC??

I've just been to the grave
I have just been to visit the grave in the last hour. I live in Finchley and this poor baby's story has really hit a nerve with me and so I needed to go.
A few facts to help if you are going to go.
Its a very large cemetery. Once you go through the gate from the public road, it is probably another mile from there. You need to follow signs for the crematorium, drive along a few small private roads past loads of graves. Once you get to the crematorium building park up. The area for baby p is on the far side of the building to the side, around 50 metres from it. There is a plaque now, simple, in black, and of course lots of teddy bears, flowers, poems etc, just in the middle of the grass. I didn't bring anything, I just needed to connect to baby p in the real world in some way, just by being there.

Well I personally feel what Sara has done here is very kind hearted. This is a horrible case of abuse, and media or not, it has touched alot of people, some more than others, and in different ways.
There may be a deeper reasoning as to why this has effected Sara, but it doesn't really matter, that would be personal and she doesn't have to speak out if she doesn't wish to. The fact is she posted up information so, if anyone wished to do something in memory of Baby P, they could.
As for comments about her giving to charity instead, and I'm not speaking for her at all here, what's to say she hasn't/doesn't. She may well give what she can as it is, what she has done here, was more personal, and I for one commend her for her kind human nature.
