Think we are getting a good deal.
We got charged for sewage for ages until I spotted it on the bill - we have a sceptic tank! Immediate refund but think they were trying it on.

Just U switched to Eon and combined were at £120 a month, too early to say whether we're in credit though - 3 bed semi and a shed load of washing machine activity!

Now sorted, lol, Gas 32, leccy 25, full homecare agreement reinstated and all white goods covered as well. When I sign up for the Click online BG thingy I should save even more apparently. Groovy

Having switched from British Gas (gas and electricity) to Eon in April, I recently received my first statement after they supposedly recently read both my meters. I had been paying £35/month by direct debit.
They reckon I've used £128.72 of electricity in 4 months of Summer.
But here's a good one..........
Apparently in the same period I've used £3,374.00 of gas and my account is in debit by £3,201.04.
I don't run a hotel but in fact live in a small 2 up 2 down.
Needless to say the direct debit was promptly cancelled (they've since sent me a letter to say I won't now be receiving my direct debit discount).
I had resisted all the guff about how "making the switch can save you hundreds a year" and been with British Gas for 10+ years. At over £750/month at Eon's rates, BG look pretty good at the moment.
Make sure you take your own meter readings!

Don't normally notice things like this but i'm off work because my son is sick and the gas and Electric bill has just come through for the last 6 months.
4 bedroom house with three people living in it:
Per month
Gas: £55
Electric: £105
So £160 a month through the summer.
I have just tried USwitch but the only ones that are cheaper is Npower and eon. Is this a normal amount to use anyone else know what they are paying.
We are due them £800 because our DD payments have been set to £55 for our electic bill.

£70 / month for both, and we're overpaying
