most random thing in mine, i was washing it and an x5 drives past turns around stops and a middle aged woman asks if i have a lighter so i said no i don't smoke. so she says well what about your car, its very nice so i say thank you, but i don't have one fitted because it saves weight, and i thought most x5s come with lighters or are they optional extras? needless to say she didn't like that remark very much and said thank you and drove off

A police officer pulled me over because he'd heard on the grapevine it was quick and he wanted a look at it to compare it to his Evo 6 TME lol

An old trick. He wanted to see if you were nervous like a TWOC'r or drugged/boozed up. Obviously everyone who drives a Scooby fits the description

Got pulled recently in the wife's WRX wagon. Copper looked quite annoyed I wasn't under 30, wearing Burberry and smoking a joint. He actually apologised to my wife and said it's standard practice for them to pull Scoobies late at night (we were on the way back from the flicks), especially ones that were being driven like they were stolen.

I took the hint and went home a little slower

I was driving down to Silverstone via some B-roads with my housemate in the passenger seat.
We'd been stuck behind a 4x4 for a couple of miles, but when I saw there was sufficient road to get past, I stomped on the accelerator. However, almost as soon as we got past the car, we came to a 30mph limt, so I had to brake quite sharply to get back down to 35mph and then let the engine slow us to 30.

We trundled round a left hand bend, speed slowing from 33 to 30mph on the speedo, when I saw a copper with a hand-held laser gun, pointing right at me!
All I could do was; smile and give a friendly wave (what else are you supposed to do?!), while my passenger was p*ssing himself laughing.

I didn't get it at first, but my passenger then explained that the copper must have heard the quick blast of the flat 4 and thought he was on a dead-cert for handing out some points, only to find me trundling along at exactly the speed limit - he must have been gutted!

Had a fair few women smile at the yellow RA but the funniest was some poor women who rubber necked to look at me and the car (ego first obviously) and stalled her micra - I lol'd a lot and then got out to fill up the beast.

Driving down the M4 towards J35 in the Foggy. I moved out into the outside lane to overtake a BMW Cockpact 318i.

BM pulls out in front of me with no indicators. No probs I follow on behind at a safe distance. Road clears in front of BM and he stays in the outside lane. Detecting a cockism coming on I slow and move back into the middle lane. So, does BM man. So I accelerate and indicate to over take and lo and behold BM man pulls out in front again! The inside lane is pretty full so the very naughty Undetake is not on.

Now I realise that BM man is being an **** I indicate and watch BM man again pull to the outside lane. Down two cogs and zip up the inside. Look to my right and BM man is furiously shaking his fist and appears to be calling me names!

Anyway I get some distance and BM man is obviously flooring it to catch up. I then leave the motorway and drop down to 50 MPH (as per the road signs) on the dual carriageway into Bridgend. Hey ho along comes random BM cockist. He ***** past a fair clip, and he's obviously not local as he goes past the Safety camera Partnership van parked on the right, where it always is.

Very random man and utter ****!

Still its nice to know my Impreza can provoke that sort of response. I like argy bargy
You should see some people in this country, same atitude and response, but it is usually a wee bit worse because they spent all their money on the BMW or some other trolley.
Showing off cars they cant drive properly is a priority here, 'cause eating and childrens education is secondary.
