There are some settings in there for changing the time delay to get the lip sync to match. Have a look in your manual, it tells you where to find the options.

freesat is on the same bird so plug, tune and go. You can also get an angled bracket with the lnbs on which will allow you to pick up a few more satellites as well. Luckily the humax boxes can tune into these other channels as well (although I imagine you would be missing an epg)

Yes this is in the 'Services' menu, and is normally used when you have a surround sound system and allows for seconds delay to try and match the sound to the picture. I Currently have no issues with the Thompson through a Sony LCD HD T.V. But have always had a problem with the Thompson from year 1, but have just put up with it The Thompson Sky+ box in the other room only lasted 6 months before the IR receiver gave up. Now on a PACE box which appears to be more stable. Why didn't Sky use PACE for Sky HD? Thompson = Alba and the other cheap brands I supose would be the answer to my question.

I've opened it up - has wheezing fat leaky caps in the PSU - as intended by the design engineers all of 15 months ago
Can buy replacements for a tenner and then get the soldering iron out.
If I had more time and fewer kids i'd go after Thompson for the 'unfit for the purpose' route- £300 I paid for this pile of poo 14 months ago
These Thompson (French?) guys sell broadcast kit & this isnt a good experience to ever again lead me to buing a Thompson £50k vision mixer or a few £30k cameras if this is what they put their name to. Sony would die before stooping this low...
Messy. Hassle. Nonsense. Night!

External kit delays the signal...
Is that just me, but the sound through my Sony surround amp is late compared to to the also delayed and digitally proc'd pix on the Sony LCD??

Neither direction would help me as the sound is wandering off as time goes by... It starts off ok, then after 30min has lost a couple of s.
