Still have no idea.

I know I don't want to do what I do now, if that helps.

I wanted to be a fortune teller, but I really couldn't see any future in it.
So I thought, maybe I could become a lift operator, but that job seems to have its ups and downs.

I tried to be a litter collector.

The training was pretty complex but I picked it up as I went along....

Originally wanted to join the RAF with a view to then moving across to being a commercial airline pilot. Had my ear drum very badly perforated which kind of screwed the RAF for me

Then wanted to work on Oil Rigs but somehow ended up working for a company who design / fabricated them... and from there moved into IT

I could not think of anything more boring than wanting to be a commercial airline pilot if i am being honest. Alright for a year or so but any excitement in the job after that would be the trip to work Ask a taxi driver if he enjoys his job, pretty much the same really, although more involvment in a car than there is in a plane. Fast jet pilot, or an attack helicopter pilot, now that would be a lot more exciting.

SAS soldier, best of the best, basically untouchable. Astronaut, forensic scientist, Hollywood film star.

Male gigolo

Computer databases are alright for earning money but if I crash something I want the NTSB involved
No doubt about it, it is a very interesting job and pretty well paid too. I did a tour on the VC10 which we operated in exactly the same way as the civil airlines. I enjoyed it but you do tend to spend many hours at altitude droning along on the autopilot making the occasional postion report to Air Traffic Control. It was good travelling the world.

It was still a relief to get back to normal military flying however where you are expected to be able to use an aircraft to its full performance usually at low level in order to complete the required job. Lot of satisfaction to be got from that.

I wanted to be a Policeman, but my uncorrected eyesight was below the minimum requirement

I ended up in engineering instead, at least it gets me out of the house

I'd like my own model shop - static models, RC, scalextric and model railway. This I still want to do in the future.

I always wanted to be an archaeologist, though as an adult I suspect it's considerably less exciting than I imagined as a (dinosaur obsessed) kid...

These days, I just wish that an interesting (and well paid) job would come up that would actually make use of my chemistry degree. Since leaving university 8 years ago, I've ended up in very routine lab work, albeit fairly well paid with lots of time off. Zero job satisfaction though... :-(
