This looks brilliant. Cant Wait.

Im insured with Richard Egger Insurance.(google them). They did me a good deal on the scoob as a second motor, and specialise in track cover too.

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttt tttttttttttttt a RRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh hhhhhh

I fappin loved it! ... till I ran out of fuel on the last session.

Which one were you in matey was gonna pop over for a chat but you always looked surrounded (many admirers or did you bring cheerleaders)! If you were in the silver one (I assume you were) then you were driving well! Frankly I was just happy to get the car home without a scratch and a sub 60 sec lap of Brands Hatch will do me!

I've got plenty of pics my mate took and a couple of vids I'll post them up here.

I was really let down by sh1tty no make tyres. Loads of power in the straights and she was sounding peachy but come to a corner and if I was holding much speed at all it would just seem to four wheel drift, when I couldn't even out corner a seat leon (who was driver of the day imho) you know you've got a problem. Goodyears for me next time (or maybe even a set of toyo888s on a spare set of wheels and I reckon I could shave 5-10 seconds off a lap fairly easily in the dry of course .... which it def was not today!

One of the best days out ever for me if that makes me a sad git I really dont care I thought it was awesome and can't wait to book my next event!

Yeah i was in the silver one.

Nah the seat was slow. i think i lapped it (along with all the others. I think i even caught you up ). It stuck with me my first couple of laps but once i got the feel i left it for dust. That porshe turbo was bloody slow too.

Evo was quickest but i was catching that pretty quick too. The racing line was very important. Was gaining massivly on most corners due to their poor lines.

I would have liked to have overtaken that ferrari but it was in the other sessions .

My admirers have got a few laps on tape if u want me to work out a lap time for you.

Was awesome. Brakes were a wee bit cooked. Tires went off after about 2 laps but they all hung in there.

Didnt get close to a perfect lap tho. Best i did was about half when i nailed the line braking etc.

Yes the tit in the fricking turbo. I was stuck behind him for 3 laps. i think u were behind the evo behind me. The evo illegally over took. I was following the rules then overtook the porker holding us up. Then i took the porshe on the inside coming up to mclaren. It was so slow in the corners. but then he would floor it on the straights and i would just loose out. I could have took it several times but it wouldnt have been with the rules. In the end i thought sod it and took it. By the time we got past the start line i was decent amount ahead of it.

I rekon i could probably knock a good few seconds off. If it was dry alot of seconds. As you say the car slides a bit.

Need to uprate my pads disks and fluid too tho.brakes were good, just cooked a bit fast.

The MG thing was driving pretty well. corning decent on correct line just lost out big time to my power and braking.

those MR2;s were very slow. the clio cup disappointingly slow.i would say mclaren was the best corner for catching speed on everyone. People were taking it totally wrong. Turn in 7ft after the yellow cone. Hit the apex and its a straight line for the blue cone. On the power till after the brake board then brake, turn in to the apex easy the power on out to the yello then back in to apex near the pit wall.

I was a bit of a chicken on paddock. Scary corner. However druids i whizzed around. Again. Hug the outside white, late apex, on the power. Again gained alot of time on people there.

Not saying i hit every apex btw

My mate timed me a couple of times best he recorded was 1.01 but I did a much better lap than that which he didn't so I'm giving myself a sub 60 lol! But yeah if your "admirers" have it on vid I'd be interested.

Personally I know I drove well within the limits of my car but with no track insurance and no money to repair any damage (and using it every day as my company car) I was not taking any risks ... on any corner!

1st few times on Paddock hill bend I (and my passenger) were sh1tting it I think my stomach was somewhere around my ears after the dip. I decided after thrashing it about for the first 3 runs to have a bit of a slower 4th session and just try and tidy up my lines as you said it makes all of the difference but I was still suffering from lack of grip. Saying that these tyres will last me forever I've already done nearly 20k on them ... 1 track day and countless satapod runs and they still look like new... I've never had such hard compound rubber on any car!

I didn't fk about with anyone really I frankly didn't trust them so if I saw anyone gaining on me I pretty much pulled straight over just to avoid any possible damage to my motor ... shame that **** in the porker didn't feel the same!

One of the MR2s went off on his second lap ... I was talking to him before the start saying they can be twitchy .... hate to say I told you so but .... he slowed down quite a bit after that !

Tell me about it. The porker almost hit him when he spun. I was behind the porker and slowed just enough to get past. was scary moment. He said to me after he didnt know what he was doing and just went into the corner with foot flat to the floor.

So what mods you running? Im std everything.

Noone actually caught me up unless i was stuck behind the porker.

On the first couple of laps i let a couple past. I figured i wouldnt rape it untill the brakes engine and tyres had warmed up.

My scoob is a weekend/track play thing. However i like it too much so have commuted in it every day since i bought it 3 weeks ago.

Yeah, i forgot to phone my insurance on weekday so had no cover too. Scary feeling.

yeah would be interested to see your pics. Bring on the next one.

Joining in on the skid training at rockingham skid pan? I think that will be good to safely experience how to deal with it when it goes very wrong.

Heh. Im still on a high. We recorded some with a HD camera. Will try and get a few hd clips online. The camera seems to be broke, no longer focuses beyond 3 feet. but some shots could be ok.

They had it on the pitwall for pretty much a whole session. How did your brakes hold out? Are they uprated? im sure the std brembo's are much better than my 4 pots. PPP? PPP comes with 1155's too right? Better then my std pads. whatever the other owner put on.

Properly impressed with my 3k scoob. It help up, went fast, and got me home. All without skipping a beat!

I was quite surprised at how hardcore some people were. That astra has r888's and full roll cage. See him blow up?

Was quite nervous at the beginning especially seeing porshe turbo's, ferrari's evo 8 and ur Filthy Beast. The wait at the beginning drove me nuts. just wanted to go!

I was nervy but more about getting home safely than being slow I wasn't overly bothered about that as long as I wasn't put to shame which considering there were only a few cars that I let pass I feel it went ok.

I've got braided hoses and Black Diamond FT pads. To be honest I didn't really notice any fade at all but then again I wasn't standing on them too much, they managed to stop me well enough when I over cooked it a couple of times though! And I did see the Astra struggling back to the pits .... should have spent more time on the engine and less on tarting it up... although the cage isn't meant for show of course.

Mines running 276 at the wheels, been remapped etc

I can tell you now your lap times would have been better than the Ferrari's he was doing 1.15s

1.15's! o dear. I saw him squriming alot. Didnt sound like he was using full throttle either.

Yeah i got a few bits for christmas which should make a difference. some dash pods. some ds2500's and a set of cheap grooved disks. Want to see how these perform before i think of a 700 quid brake upgrade. Although the ds2500's aint exactly cheap :S. Looking at about 350 all in i rekon. And some brake hoses.

So what you pushing at the fly? How did u stand up on the straights to the Turbo? New my car should have aboue 280, i rekon over the 10 years thats probably dropped to about 270. Ill RR it next month.

U up for a trip to surrey rolling road? They are only about 10 miles from my house in bracknell

I live nr Peterborough so bit of a trek for me

275 is between 320 and 340 at the flywheel depending on who's figures you want to use. The turbo left me on the straights but not by much tbh.
