Some days good, some days bad, dont think he's worth £600K though.
Brother runs a pub run the corner from Radio 1, and he pops in with his crew every now and then. The way he talks to people, his manners, you instantly dislike him and his group.

god im mega sad !!
i work an extra 1/2 hour so i finish at 0625 just in time for "the brand new cheesy song" and im normally rather amused for the 1/2 hour journey home infact it bugs me when there's a tune on as i prefer the banter !

The fact he has gained 3 million or so listeners since he took over is overwhelming proof that people like him when there are so many other options to listen too.
Most popular R1 breakfast show EVER.

Unfunny fat ****. Cannot stand him and I hate him more for the apparent fact that it's cool to like him. I rememeber not so long ago when Radio 1 were doing a drink awareness month and he played an advert for the campaign. He was such a utter **** as to talk about how drunk he got just after the ad (because drinking like a fish, having a gut like a space hopper and generally being a loud mouth **** is, ya know, cool...)
Still, I hear he has a wonderful singing voice.

unfortunately, the listening figures merely reflect the amount of loaded magazine reader types that he appeals to...which im sad to say is way too many...
and ive never heard so many sycophants that are the idiots he works with...
not even remotely worth 600k but it just goes to show how much as a society were willing to put clowns like him on a pedestal...

If you know anyone else that could do better i'm sure the BBC would pay even more.
Considering the age dermographic that R1 is aimed at his listener share is MASSIVE. They're getting all the listeners that their charter says they should be getting, he's a massive success.

I would rather saw off my genetalia with a rusty spoon, and feed them to partially boiled lobsters while shaving the inside of my mouth with an old mach 3 before drinking a pint of water festooned with salt and vinegar than listen to that fat yorkshire bastad.

R1's age dermographic is 15-29 i think or very close to that.
I'm sure they are glad that all the old whingers on here that fall outside that are NOT listenning/enjoying it

I like the show and the banter between the team is great. Sometimes he goes on but generally good listening, the only other section I like on R1 is The Live Lounge.

Radio 2 for me. The most popular radio station going. Can't beat Richard Allinson when he stands in for others . He should replace Rossy on a Saturday I reckon.

I must admit he is not as good/arrogant as he used to be but that’s down to the BBC toning him down a bit and the time of day

i used to love his show but the last few months its really gone down hill IMO and the only time i listen to it now is 9-10 on a fri the golden hour which is always good.

The last time I listened to his show was a few months back in the car. It was the bit where each of the crew played a song of their choice and listeners voted which was best.
Fat boy just talked over the songs and spoiled it. I realised again why anything but him was worth listening to. At least the most annoying advert finishes in a few seconds - that **** goes on forever and just isn't funny.
