Didn't 'Dip Yer Bread' then, KOTs?
I was watching people get carried away with it all .... the 50% OFF stuff was worth a dabble - but, the 20% and 10% Items? Nah, still cheaper elsewhere![Lol1](images/smilies/lol1.gif)
The Philips 30Gb MP3 players were worth all of £24 though!![Thumb](images/smilies/thumb.gif)

I walked (ran) by woolies earlier today. All I could see were hundreds of chavvy types rushing about, perhaps looking to save a few quid.
Maybe they were hoping to maximise their dole hand outs. Fair enough, I guess the savings on this rubbish might help some buy a few extra Lidl reconstituted chicken burgers, or whatever. Perhaps like the ones lewis posted in his fridge picture with a scooby in it
I gave this cheap tat and trinket sale a huge miss, as would anyone with a degree of common sense

We have just been in Woolies, and yes all the signs on the doors said 50% off everything
Inside the posters said upto in tiny letters, but they were clearly missing from the front door posters
Got a few bits which we needed to get anyway for the last of the xmas presents, as they still had very full shelves of almost everything

Went to the one in Guildford Yesterday, It has now become my new personal vision of hell.
I swear to god the only thing missing was Trisha standing on a stage casting down judgment on everyone.
The que was about 100 deep. The amount of static build that had been caused by all the tracksuit wearers in there rubbing together was all too tangible and there were kids, kids of 4 or 5 walking around in the same volume as abandoned dogs in spain.
Dont get me wrong I like a bargain, but that was more like a scene from demolition man.

Possibly, as they will have PS3's in stock ... these were only 10% OFF last weekend I think?
Their prices are all over the place to be honest, prices are much cheaper than you think when you reach the tills!

The general public usually walk around like complete spazatrons most of the time and don't have a clue what is going on, reading the new pages about angry shoppers queuing for ages only to find out that they did not read the signs properly and the 50% off the nintendo Wii they thought they were getting is only 10%
i get this all day long at work, i have massive posters outside giving the price lists "from" but you always get one bellend per week coming in thinking he is getting his big **** 4x4 cleaned for the same cost as somebody in a 2 seater sports car, and then complaining when we point out the price difference (before we book him in? feckin spazmos)
i can remember some charva complaining once and i asked him if i should get another poster the same size alongside saying "if you are a thick ****, the "from" part is in front of the price" he told me he was away to get his "fatha" and i had not heard the last of it![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
the general public = usually thick as hell, like magpies, they see something shiny and dive straight in to get it, and then sqwak like hell afterwards when all is not what it seams

While most of you have a chuckle about the "cheap tat" that woolies will be selling off over the next few days spare a thought for those people that will be loosing their jobs (such as my mum and sister) and the effect that will have on families.
For instance I will be able to pay the mortgage for my mum but we won't have enough money to pay the bills each month. So people may loose more than just their jobs when woolies does finally close.

10% more than most other retailers were offering last weekend though.
